That’s Syr’nj, right? The face doesn’t look quiiiite right – but then, that could be because she’s smiling, and we haven’t ever seen her smiling before.
Hah. Sorry. I’m still trying to tie down a style. During the Syr’nj flashback I was trying a less stylized approach, which worked really well for that segment, but it’s not going to work for the whole story. I think what’s happening now will stick more.
Don’t be sorry, it all looks great! The stylized variations in the flashback chapters were all good and fit well – I like how syr’nj’s, for example, looked very weathered and natural-ish – and the way you changed style from person to person was a great technique. I do really like the style you’ve gone with for this chapter, though.
Also: I didn’t know there was alt text. Woulda answered my question from the get-go. Whoops. =p
How many extra points do I get for having noticed all of the ITEMs in the alt text before reading the alt text? My internal word balloon for panel 2 was “ZOMGLOLWTFBBQ how do they have an ancient orrery without even barnacles on!!1! I can has positions of all the planets they knew about back then and also phases of the moon!”.
Brilliant “wwwhhhUUUHHH??!?” expression in that panel.
She never had a trench. It’s always been the capelet, except for when she was a field medic in the war (see chapter one pages thirteen through sixteen.)
I’m not sure, but the lack of “sound” makes this one very interesting, wouldn’t mind some noise condensed elsewhere as there is a lot of background actiity that Erica has provided us with….
Nice visual reference to the Matrix there. Woman in Red indeed. :)
The only lock I see is the lock of hair hanging in Syr’s face, unless that grey thing in the foreground on panel 2 is some sort of elaborate locking mechanism.
My question…who’s the lurker above the Merchant in Red’s stall?
I’m not completely certain (Latter pages may show which is which?), but, if I don’t miss my guss, one of the items is a lock (unless the lock of hair or Syr’nj’s belt buckle count as the lock) and the other is the Antikythera Mechanism.
I think the gold one is the AM, but it’s just a guess, though. /3
Whaaa? this shall be interesting…

Where’s the shoe? There’s lots of shoes! Does the alt text meen a shoe on one’s wearing? I dont see that.
I think that the shoe(s) are next to the cat, or at least something that looks shoe-ish. :)
I think those are supposed to be hats
I spyed Aladdin. Where’s her trench coat from pervious pages?
She never had a trench. It’s always been the capelet, except for when she was a field medic in the war (see chapter one pages thirteen through sixteen.)
Not going to lie… first thing I noticed was the woman in red. Nice background figures!
She turns into an Agent when you look a second time.
Now THAT was actually funny.

Oo, it’s one of those findy-puzzle things!
I like the street prophet. “Rabble rabble prophecy,” indeed.
I can’t find the lock.

Is it just me or is there a wizard in the background who has a Magical Cloak of Shiny Gayness?
No can find a lock, found many shoes, Alladin, a wizard’s hat, and Bandit. Good, yes?
Nice Grand World Tour reference.
