As someone who’s played/is playing Guild Wars, WoW, and GW2, a “Quest Post” would be a nice feature in a game. The closest I’ve seen in those games is GW2’s Event Assistant but it would be nice to have a window/screen/menu that lists all events happening in an area at once. What GW2 does isn’t bad, but it could be better.
WoW has large quest boards in the cities that help point you towards appropriate zones, at least. And most quest hub towns have at least one wanted poster or job board.
Yes, but those only give quests at certain levels to, as you said, ferry you to zones appropriate for your level, and the wanted posters might as well be just regular quest givers minus animations. What would be cool, I think, is if there were random quests added to the boards in cities every day. It could be like dailys, only not as horrible and repetitive.
I think WoW used to have something like this, but it and Guild Wars 1/2 switched over to a LFG-style system connected to the chat..? (Though GW2 assumes you’re automatically allied with anyone close enough on top of forming parties, which is also cool).
I might be slightly off, it’s been a while.
But yes, it would be cool I guess, if a bit redundant.
Not a traditional MMO, but Path of Exile’s got something similar- granted, since it’s more of a Diablo II style game, it’s less “Quest Board” and more “Help a brutha out here” board.
I also never encountered those particular acronyms.
I was vaguely aware of “LFG”, but that was about it. Once Heroes were introduced in Guild Wars, I mostly stopped interacting with humans anyway… and as for Mabinogi, that was never an issue as you could see when someone was recruiting.
Ugh, so it’s one of those puzzle-boss fights? Ehn, I just don’t know how to feel about those. On the one hand, any class can potentially “beat” them. On the other hand, you don’t actually beat the boss yourself, the environment does it.
And they haven’t even stopped by the job jar yet!
Huh.

Neverwinter Online actually has like, a bulletin board where you can access player-made quests.
Frigg seems to have a strange way of letting someone know she cares…
She took an oath to F’ck the world. E-Girl is just the first encounter.
anyone else notice the hearts are evil faces?
Man I wish I knew what “LFM PST” meant.
‘Looking for more, please send tell.’ For when you just don’t have enough guildies available.
I thought it was “Looking for mage, please send tell.” Then again, never am much on the chat when I play MMOs.
I always took PST as “whisper me”. Like, “Psssst, I’ll join your group.”
I never thought it was an actual acronym.
I always liked that it just happened to work out that way.
I also never encountered those particular acronyms.

This reminds me I didn’t play Kingdom of Loathing for a while ago.
The quest log (which is an actual log) is pretty full now, new quests were released in my absence. Graah.
Also, digging this neither-spring-breeze-tard-nor-full-plate-armor looks on Frigg.
She’s like a bug or what, being a fun-sized beefcake? (cupbeefcake?)
Beefy cupcake really.
Oh, and the quest cup? it runneth over.
Pff, I bet most of those are just rat exterminations.
Rats of Unusual Size, though!
We talkin’ giant here or….”something else”?
They only spawn in the Fire Swamp where you have to watch out for flame spurts and lightning sand while fighting R.O.U.S’s
Please, the Flame Spurt is how you fight the ROUSes.

Unless you are are druid, which then it is just considered cheating.
Rodents of unusual size? I don’t believe they exist.
Shun the non-believer, shunnnnnn…
Shuuuuuuunnnnn…
Knock it off or I’ll call the Goon Squad!
It’s the Brute Squad. And I’m on the Brute Squad.
You are the Brute Squad!
I’d favor a Frigg and Fezzik friendship.
Umm…. Frigg, that’s not what they mean by “Crushing on someone”… But for you, I guess it works.
Who said Frigg is not a litteral girl ?
Possibly someone who said she was literal?
One half is just trade requests, and the other half is flaming the former for being offtopic.
Also, queue adventuring montage with bits of “You’re the Best” mentioned.
Loving panel 3, poor E-gurl is trying to run away and Frigg is barely even having to hold her ground :D
I bet they’re all fetch and escort quests too…
So does that mean a solicitation of prostitution would be a “fetch an escort” quest?
No, that’s “escort the fetching one”.
Too bad the Hiveworks icon featuring Bandit isn’t in higher resolution 0_0
i dont know about any of yous but i look creepy in that kickstarter video
The shape of Frigg’s mouth is getting stranger with each page.
