I think we were all to busy staring at Gene’s absurd tongue to realize he was even playing an instrument. Regardless of how awesome that instrument was.
Actually it’d be pretty ironic if she mistakenly THOUGHT he was “singing” about her and started growing fond of him because of it. I think we all know Payet has only one true love…
I imagine that Sy’rinj wound be exactly the sort of person to fall for a modernized elf.
Also, the fact of the matter is, a high CHA lets a person get away with some very awful things and still be liked. I would not put it past Payet to decide to make Sy’rinj his next target.
You’d be surprised how far a character’s Charisma will NOT carry.
There is a reason at least one DM has a house rule forbidding anyone with Aspergers from playing a Sorcerer. >_> … Apparently not even Cha21 justifies using the mayor’s daughter for spell-reagents… then telling him about it.
Nope.
The weak can play the strong, physically speaking.
The smart can play the stupid. The stupid would have a damned difficult time playing the smart, but are allowed to do so.
BUT social stuff has to be roleplayed out. And so the ones with different ideas to the DM about what is appropriate or not have to just suffer for it.
Oh… and I get the impression you were asking a rhetorical question in your quest to be a complete slag… but I answered it honestly anyway. I’m just that accommodating. ^_^
Wait. Payet is wearing…a belly shirt?!?
Sweet Molly Malone. He has no decency. He has, at long last, no decency whatsoever, and no fate will ever be grim enough.
Also, Byron is frikkin’ adorable. Yay, he can buy stew!
I know. That outfit is like he stole random bits from Bowie’s wardrobe, but only from the pile of things he wouldn’t miss. As long as we can keep him out of the Labyrinth pants though….
I LOVE Byron. His expression in the last panel is so… annoyed. It’s perfect.. plus he’s probably the only one that knows what “Short-n-stout” is talking about.
Neat.
1) And then Bryon regales on a story of not-so-long past., “Okay, so I rip the dragon’s heart and I bring it back to the guy, right? So he gives me the 5 coins and I’m happy… until I find out the going rates for dragon slaying…”
2) I swear Payet better not get any more Bowieish or, well, any more skimpy… I mean, just look at that! I’m waiting for someone to beat the snot out of him… just because.
3) I praise Gravedust for opening up the pathway for obtaining the fabled item ‘the Good Stew.’ Or fabled at least to these guys.
I just noticed the heavy metal axe he’s carrying. Payet goes up one notch in my book. Which brings him up to notch 1, and even then, a very shaky standing. I’m pretty sure if he even talks he’ll fall right back to 0.
Well, Bryon may not have been into the bartering trade too much but he looks like he’s doing fine. All he’s going to buy is beer.
(And axes, armor, clothing, a bed in an inn, food, and all that non-important stuff.)
Syring(or however you spell it) seems rather confused in the last panel. Rightfully so seeing as Payet (seems to be) praising himself for a job well done when he didn’t do anything.
We can only hope that when he passes (messily), that said axe will be inherited by someone far more worthy. Can’t decide who though. Maybe Sry’Nj can make some kind of weaponized amp for it, that’d be pretty awesome.
Not sure if anyone else noticed, but Payet makes 6 people, the town only wanted to hire five, I’m thinking someone’s getting stiffed, and the way they liked Payet it’s probably not him.
Custodes, I could be wrong, it happens, but I don’t think Bandit’s part of the group right now. When Last We Saw Bandit, she was being left in custody o’ the guards. Which means Bandit was not in the negotiations.
Which of course in no way means Bandit won’t get some of the payday.
You’re right carapace, I got confused since she was in the jail escape thing after being arrested. It didn’t really make sense why they were all in jail, so I guess it was a short escape from Cannon.
the alt comment, exactly what I was thinking…
still awesome and funny, keep on drawing :P
Oh, no – please tell me Syr’Nj isn’t falling for the charm of that song! I know she’s fairly naive, but she should know better.
I know, I know, knowing better rarely changes anything…
She’s probably offended he’ implying she isn’t a real elf, since he says he will have to prove an elf is worth something…
Nah, isn’t she looking back checking for Bandit?
I’m pretty sure Bandit is busy breaking out of jail.
Heavy metal axe is still the only good thing about Payet.
It least until Led Zepplin or Dethklok come to take it back.
Actually, Gene Simmons of KISS made it famous.
Actually, Gene Simmons of KISS made it popular.
YOU GET A STAR.

Sy’rinj: “…Is he talking about himself, or me? Because I KNOW he can’t be talking about himself…”
Actually it’d be pretty ironic if she mistakenly THOUGHT he was “singing” about her and started growing fond of him because of it. I think we all know Payet has only one true love…
I was thinking of the Chaper 1 page 13 dissertation on ‘types of elves’… and wondering if, by her standards, Payet even qualifies as an elf.
I imagine that Sy’rinj wound be exactly the sort of person to fall for a modernized elf.

Does the same DM forbid paraplegics from playing fighters, smart people from playing barbarians, and you from playing anything Good?
Nope.

And the Major Tom space suit…..
I dunno. If we can get a helmet on him and weld it shut it might quiet him down a bit.

Veeeeery shaky notch 1.
I also agree with Caradin. Byron’s expression=priceless.
WRONG.
It is … £2.99
I guess it’s official. Payet’s axe is more universally loved than Payet and his belly shirts will ever be.
