“Nah, she’s just of royal blood and of utmost political importance, nothing more. What ? This guy bleeding over there too ? Oh. Well, a shame my hands are full right now.”
Let’s see, here we are: “Good guys: a person or group, often the protagonist, who is generally regarded as morally superior to his enemies and/or allies, depending on the nature of the story”
Byron could have quoted some kind of passage in this situation, but his window of opportunity is closing. And it looks like Ardaic is somewhat nonplussed at not being able to recount his hole story. Still, interruptions are part and portal of battlefield evacuations.
There’s several theories of portal theory, and the one that Byron is banking on now is similar to the commutative property in mathmatics: In layman’s terms, Byron and Ardaic are hoping that regardless of which side they enter from, they will all exit in the same geographical area.
is it just me or is this the first major battle for the adventurers where byron is one of the few who isnt injured? usually he either got beaten up or zerked out.
Rather what I was wondering. “OH SAY! Magical Mystical Door thing, convenient, let’s jump through it because OH SHIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiii……….” (insert sounds of falling into endless madness here…)
Ardaic has a bit of a thing for Syr’Nj, doesn’t he?
That’s what I’ve always thought.
i still say its political, not personal.
Personally, I think that even if it’s political at first, by now Ardaic has genuinely grown to appreciate Syr’s company.
A man like Ardaic is probably not exactly swimming in people he can actually talk to and count as friends.
Might be a tad personal, but he’d of course never admit that he *likes* someone, be it in a platonic or romantic way.
“Nah, she’s just of royal blood and of utmost political importance, nothing more. What ? This guy bleeding over there too ? Oh. Well, a shame my hands are full right now.”
I would be very surprised, if Ardaic hasn’t totally fallen in love with Syr’nj by now.
Anyone else getting a Ser Jorah vibe from him?
Is it Lord Friendzone or Duke Friendzone? I forget his title.
Good work old guy.
Well wonder how the other ground forces are.Where is the Silver Dude and all that?
Still least all the good guys got away..core group poor footsoldier dudes
They are probably outside the walls and have a better chance of getting to safety
“Good guys.”
Let’s see, here we are: “Good guys: a person or group, often the protagonist, who is generally regarded as morally superior to his enemies and/or allies, depending on the nature of the story”
“Morally superior” is highly subjective, if not outright laughable.
I don’t think this is a good time to go into the light.
How many lights are there, Picard?
Genius.
I’d rather you tell me that story about how you ate a rotten egg when you were little. Then we can talk about the lights.
THERE! ARE! FOUR! LIGHTS!
Any particular reason why that seems to be THE most remembered scene of all TNG around here?
Byron could have quoted some kind of passage in this situation, but his window of opportunity is closing. And it looks like Ardaic is somewhat nonplussed at not being able to recount his hole story. Still, interruptions are part and portal of battlefield evacuations.
At any rate, Ardaic now has an exclusive view of a fine egress.
There’s several theories of portal theory, and the one that Byron is banking on now is similar to the commutative property in mathmatics: In layman’s terms, Byron and Ardaic are hoping that regardless of which side they enter from, they will all exit in the same geographical area.
Let’s just hope the destination portal isn’t mounted on an exterior wall of the sktytown.
And while we’re at it, let’s hope this isn’t the Skyelfy looking complementary part to H. R.’s portal in sepia world.
“Speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.”
That’s what [insert desired gender pronoun here] said!
Which side is the main one, anyway? Could have been opened mostly for Ardaic.
Bets that the door closes before Ardy can get through?
Close, but guessing he’s staying behind anyway
He certainly looks like he about to do something terribly silly and plot-ful.
Any portal in a storm.
wait, that’s the portal they’re using to get OFF the skyship!
I wonder what Sky Elf cake tastes like?
I am sure it is deLiecous
is it just me or is this the first major battle for the adventurers where byron is one of the few who isnt injured? usually he either got beaten up or zerked out.
Wait, what? Who opened that portal and why? Not the elves on the other airship?
Rather what I was wondering. “OH SAY! Magical Mystical Door thing, convenient, let’s jump through it because OH SHIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiii……….” (insert sounds of falling into endless madness here…)
Honestly, I don’t see why they couldn’t have just run away, like the Champions did. The horde didn’t seem to be in any condition to stop them…
Deus ex machina sine causa.
There’s Ardaic, walking off that Suplex like a champ
It is all for the Best!
Why do I feel like ardaic is going to get left be hind, or will stay to make sure it gets shut and ends up dying?
That’s the kind of adventurer he is (too soon to say ‘was’?)
Or, maybe he can’t go through. He might be an NPC.
Are they going to the world that created them?
Some of them are native to the game world, only some of them are ‘real’
