Swiftness. Swiftness? … that’s all ya got for me, hon?
Howzabout invulnerability? and giant-size? NOW we’re talking’!
Speaking of letting my past haunt me, after the victory party and we hit the sack, I sure could use one of those male enhancement potions.
Swiftness seems like a great power boost for our dexterity-minded Byron, but I hope Scipio gets something a little more conducive to his fighting style. AC Boost, Strength Boost, who knows.
To be fair, if he pulled that, he’d probably get shot by his own side again. Given that he’s surrounded by an army and doesn’t tend to pay attention to friend or foe.
Eh, he still might pull it naturally. Who knows? We were just reminded that Byron still has the ability, so perhaps it will come into play naturally. Or in an altered state where he can channel his rage instead of letting it control him. Who knows.
I think this is part of the power of assembling a group of World’s Rebellion Champions in action. It throws the Peacemakers’ elite squads off their game, coming up against a foe just as organized as themselves. Byron would normally be glad to have help, but he’s kinda freaking out.
Besides, HAMMERHEAD doesn’t strike me as the berserker type. He seems to me more like the ones who stay coldly, scarily focused and rational at all times. Worse than a berserker, TBH.
Here’s an idea, instead of making an antidote for the suppressant…
We take a dose of the suppressant, and hit that Shark Berserker with it!
Maybe two doses, he looks kinda… big. Three doses?
He hasn’t done anything. Byron’s just putting his own opinions about the invincibility of berserkers forward and calling it fact. Considering how much Harky flipped out about the contagious nature of “berserker syndrome,” there’s no way Harky would allow one of those in his army. You might as well ask about Berserker Minotaurs!
Come to think of it, we have seen two or three people get close enough to a zerked-out Byron and live long enough to worry about infection. There was the cultist posing as a fortune teller, Syr’nj, and Harky. Of course, Harky had the whole “connection to Tectonicus” thing going on, the cultist could have been immunized and Syr’nj died some time afterwards.
…Although, come to think of it, Byron died, too, so that doesn’t seem to cure whatever it is.
Yeah, she heard him. Land shark berserker. She’s really suggesting that they both get really f-ing high. Because when you face a land shark berserker, you are going to die.
Hammerhead isn’t a berserker, he’s just voracious.
Misunderstood, really.

How about the ability to last longer….in battle.
At least he made sure to wear protection.
If you’ll recall, the last time somebody used a swiftness potion, Harky’s plans were foiled BIGTIME.
Swiftness seems like a great power boost for our dexterity-minded Byron, but I hope Scipio gets something a little more conducive to his fighting style. AC Boost, Strength Boost, who knows.
Potion of Swiftness: Grants 60 movement speed upon use and plus an additional 100 movement speed over 60 seconds.
Probably boosts attack speed, too.
Attack swiftness you mean.
Yes, Scipio will stand there like a shield wall at 5x the normal speed.
Avatar + comment = win
“Have you already forgotten? You used my last giant-size potion on your ‘little berzerker’ last night.”
darn, was kinda hoping to see B go psycho on the savage races and remind them why Harky soiled his britches before…
still, scorp FTW here

Harky freaked because he thinks it’s contagious, not because he especially fears Byron’s berserker strength.
“After courage and valor have long since fled, the day will be won by the guy who remembered to bring reinforcements to the party.”
Shark! Shark-FACERS!
They face the sharks when others will not!
Shark! Shark-FACERS!
Stay in the field when the field gets hot!
Well, there’s certainly plenty of Supernatural stuff going on around here. I’d love to see the Sharkfacers crew show up. xD
Try to look less enthusiastic about having HELP, Byron.

One more party member, one more person rolling against you on the loot drops.
Aren’t all landsharks basically berserkers?
Besides, HAMMERHEAD doesn’t strike me as the berserker type. He seems to me more like the ones who stay coldly, scarily focused and rational at all times. Worse than a berserker, TBH.
Given what we’ve seen berserkers are capable of, I don’t know if that’s true.
Isn’t that what people said about Byron?
I just hope Scipio doesn’t drop his stogie.
It’s time to die for him. Only I will come back.
HAMMERHEAD: My love for you is like a truck, berserker!
+1
Peace Maker meets piece maker.
Syr’nj, I want you to pay extremely close attention to the next two words I say:
SHARK. BERSERKER.
Here’s an idea, instead of making an antidote for the suppressant…
We take a dose of the suppressant, and hit that Shark Berserker with it!
Maybe two doses, he looks kinda… big. Three doses?
Just get the whole vat. It’s not like the Gastonians have reason to be concerned by the consequences of an overdose here.
Fwiftneff?
Whoa, Scipio has his eyes open? Unthinkable!
This time…it’s personal.
The Revenge!
Last panel… all I thought was…
BACK DAT ASS UP.
… I don’t know why.
This feels like we’ve skipped some pages again. When has HAMMERHEAD done anything to indicate he’s a berserker?
He hasn’t done anything. Byron’s just putting his own opinions about the invincibility of berserkers forward and calling it fact. But as we saw at the convention, cultists can be granted immunity against madness infection, to be able to spread it wider. Like a Typhoid Mary.
Yeah, she heard him. Land shark berserker. She’s really suggesting that they both get really f-ing high. Because when you face a land shark berserker, you are going to die.
Getting high? Well, I suppose it’s the logical effect when your “pharmacist” gives you a dose of speed…
“Wait… Why do I still have swiftness serum in my pouch? And, what happened to those two syringes of PCP that I had? … Oh… Oh, no…”
