From what I see in the last panel, it’s evident that Brother Tom provided the entry-wound needed for the Zerk Demons…Bandit just supplied an exit-wound for them to get out.
Mayhap the injection was enough to make Byron “unpalatable” to the Zerk Demons & they just needed a way to get out again (without having a newly-wounded host right at-hand).
Bandit. You just felled a super-zerker. You tussled with Hammerhead and won. Is there anything you can’t do? I continue to be amazed and impressed by you.
Now, let me tell, you a story about a gal named Pandora …
On the bright side Bandit, you may have just freed Byron of his “I am legion for we are many” possession. On the not so bright side, you are now all thoroughly screwed.
Then you’d love some of the earliest of the video games…Those that literally have no winning conditions at all, like Tetris & Breakout. No winning conditions means that there’s nothing you can do that can win the game.
Interesting.. He does bleed a little, but mostly it’s just electro-demons. Hard to say if he is effectively an undead, or if they can beat the demons out of him and maybe save him… if they staunch the bleeding after.
The suspense kills me! Is Byron a zombie or is he still alive? If he’s alive, will he stay that way after the demons live considering all the injuries he has? Seems kind of crazy if he does, but maybe they helped him regenerate (though that back injury is something else).
Why is there any reason to believe that Byron is defeated? I recall the monsters having to go to hell and back to kill him. I know he hasn’t done much questing since then, he kind of became a pansy. But he’s still a high level berserker, a few rogue slashes aren’t going to bring him down, “THE MADNESS” demons or not.
Had to chime in, doing a archive dive for the 2nd time (yes, this comic is that good imo) and a thought occurred this go round. Bandit is played by a human in the sepia world yes? PC master race indeed. Wrecking house here with mouse and keyboard, and beating someone in a full-dive VR setup. Scary good. Or h4xX0rZ. First time poster, but been around for a while. Very lovely world(s) you guys have created. Enjoyed the ride, thank you for your hard work.
Looks like Bandit should have looked into Byron’s background better before taking a stab at stopping him.
He -is- looking a little cross.
This is the first I remember this comic being drawn with a crosshatch-style…
Ah Byron, what a treasure. X marks the spot.
Hey wait I get it! Sy’rnj is a pun on syringe!
You’d be cross, too, if all your Kickstarter backers backed out!
Looks like the rage-quit.
Don’t worry Byron, Bandit has your back
Was not xpecting that.

And yes, much praise for Bandit here. The medical cavalry had better hurry, though.

Butterfly!
i rather meant the berserker back cross but ohh well
What? No.
Triple backslash is right out.
Yeah I think MERP just about covers it all…
And remember! ‘merp’ spelled backwards is ‘perm!’YOU’RE welcome!
MERP: Massive Explosion of Rancorous Poltergeists
FOwl wins.
Slowclap.gif
Well, technically, “merp” spelled backwards is “prem”.
No dys-Lexible intended, though. :)
Middle Earth Role Playing?
Zombie Pinata!?!
When backstabs fail.
Roll for backstab. *rolls 2* You manage just barely to hit the berserker, but in the process release a fuck-ton of demons, congrats.
WHY ARE YOU TYPING LIKE A WEAKLING MEATBAG?
and using contractions, you should know better. ENUNCIATE!
He’s just moving to his next boss fight form, I’m almost surprised that instakill move did reasonable damage at all.

Lance that boil, girl!
Lance that giorl, boi!
Crabbe that Goyle! Me boil!
It’s the beast with countless backs.
Nah, I doubt there’s more than a billion.
It’s gotta be at least 9000 !
Bandit. You just felled a super-zerker. You tussled with Hammerhead and won. Is there anything you can’t do? I continue to be amazed and impressed by you.
Now, let me tell, you a story about a gal named Pandora …
A sly little gnome, who we all adore-a…
Well one day she was stabbin’ a berzerker…
When out of his back popper a buncha flamin; jerkers… (demons that is)
And now it’s not looking great for her
As the demons within begin to stir
They were flowin’ and flyin’ like ‘lectri-ci-ty
I hate you all. Now I keep hearing something about Fresh Princes and Bel Aire…..
pssst……..that doesn’t rhyme :)
And neither did yours, as if anyone care.
And the sight of the carnage made everybody pee… (in fear, that is)
On the bright side Bandit, you may have just freed Byron of his “I am legion for we are many” possession. On the not so bright side, you are now all thoroughly screwed.
Most berserkers kill until they die. The cultists went and made one that kills after it dies. Now that’s research and development.
Bye bye, everyone within a league or two. Nice knowing you.
Sorry, dumb question here: What does this mean for Sepia World Players? The game crashes? Annual online prank?
Forum rage. “OMG, this stupid event made me GY rez, then I found out the event had even spilled into the GY. They were one-shotting us, NERF PLOX!”
And now I’m going to go stuff that part of my brain back in the little box I keep it in and wrap it in caution tape once more.
It means that there’s a World Boss that no one can beat. Game Over.
Ha! Finally a game worth playing.
Then you’d love some of the earliest of the video games…Those that literally have no winning conditions at all, like Tetris & Breakout. No winning conditions means that there’s nothing you can do that can win the game.
Going to save “merp” for those occasions when it’s just too much…
Praying for Bandit now.
She´s not hurt…no way in for the berzerk-ghost-things.
Yet.
Mouth, ears, nose…..other places. Plenty of entry points to pick from bub.
It wouldn’t be the first time someone has had a ghost it their ass.
in*
Merp.
I’m suddenly in the mood for Jiffy Pop…
On the bright side, single berserker demons can be killed with antidote.
Only throw away a weapon when you have another to hand.
Or if it’s a boomerang?
Cutting a cross in someone = successful exorcism.
Ask an adventurer.
Looks like Bandit finally got back at Byron.
both proud and quite scared for Bandit ><
Interesting.. He does bleed a little, but mostly it’s just electro-demons. Hard to say if he is effectively an undead, or if they can beat the demons out of him and maybe save him… if they staunch the bleeding after.
The Nelwyn really dropped the ball on that one…
And then Eren pops out of the Byron-
Oh wait shit, wrong series.
da-da-da da da da da-da Jager!
Merci beaucoup

First thought that came to mind :<
Daaawwww….he’s pouring his heart out to her.
/cue “someone turned off the containement field” song from Ghostbusters.
Phew, nearly missed the cue.
I was wondering if the Cyberia monsters can be fought outside of Byron. Looks like we might get to find out.
Yes, it’s very merp. But now we have to wait until Monday to find out if this made matters better or worse. THE SUSPENSE IS FIGURATIVELY KILLING ME.
Drowning in the bay is litorally killing me.
A ton of garbage dumped on me is litterly killing me.
A ton of store manikins dumped on me is figuratively killing me.
Bandit has clearly been leveling up. She definitely could not have handled Byrzerker solo earlier in the comic.
Granted, she hasn’t straight put him down, but…doing pretty damned well.
He shall henceforth be known as “Byron the Mogwai.”

That was awesome.
Bandit, please marry me.
I’ve been binging through the archives these last couple of days, and I just wanted to say, a fine yarn you’ve been spinning here.
Nice fumbling here, Bandit. :-S
