On the one hand I’d say he was just a kid that didn’t know any better, but then again he built a house filled with elaborate death traps in an hour which no one his age should be capable of doing.
Yeah, this is complete confirmation. I have a feeling that the amulet was passed to another for that major battle because Ardaic was too important to be on the field at that time. He casts suspicion away from himself when necessary, but he’s definitely the main Silver Centurion. He has the personality for it, as well.
And this is why going after folks on their home ground is an awful awful plan. They expected it. You get to live it. Next, everyone dies in some kind of fire!
I see there are plenty who are already spOILing this with puns. I like it. :/
But, I think, this is not the trip these soldiers expected to take. This is pretty low down of the gnomes. But then they aren’t enamored with these giant soldier coming at them enarmoured, after all.
Not a pun, but it is nice of Ardaic to wear that helmet with the brush down there. Sweeping the ceiling as he comes down to enslave a whole race is the least he can do.
Not to brag, but I was so effective with Entanglement- in my first session of 3.5e- that “entanglement” became a meme in our group for years later, in various other systems.
The spell was also banned ):
At one point around level 10-ish my DnD 3.5 fighter/rogue got his hands on a Wand of Grease. It ended up killing more enemies than the wizard and full fighter combined. Fun fact: You can cast it on things like siege ladders. Or cliffs that your enemy might be scaling. Or, for maximum comedy, the weapon your opponent is trying to swing at you…
No kidding, however his doo-ty was to follow orders. He no longer is the Silver Centurion in his mind. If only that would make his own form of glowwey-hammer-shit ineffective as well.
You know, maybe thinking about Syr’Nj right now is not the best idea? Kept you from wondering why there’s only two entrances that can be opened “in a reasonable time.” I suspect those are no longer open, btw.
The trick is to cook them until they pop right out of their shells.
“…And to oil a good knight!”
Slick.
Awp! The alt text beat me to that pun.
Gnome Alone. Look out for flying cans of paint… cause that would actually kill you in real life.
Kevin was downright murderous.
…That was supposed to be to brasca1, whoops.

Pretty sure Home Alone was a prequel to The Good Son
I lost it when Marv died four times in a row. XD
And now they light it up. Bringing those explosives doesn’t seem so smart now.
Safe to say the SC indeed is Ardaic.

He had to brush up on his Gnome capture technique.
To make it all the more easier to whisk them away?
Or at least batter them into submission.
Unless they just give them the slip.
Now light that oil on fire!
I don’t know fire seems to be the trolls or any Tectonicus worshiper’s thing.
Nah, fire’s good for pretty much anyone. Can’t argue with results.
Cross cultural exchange kind of thing. They DO have reason to open peace talks, after all
And then they exploded. Such was the end of Ardaic.
All burned, except his stache. And from this glorious stache, the entire Ardaic regrew.
slapstick at its finest.
gnhome alone
Ah, the joys I’ve had oils and/or marbles during roleplaying sessions… even better when combined with caltrops… XD

It’s almost like it’s a bad idea to make enemies of the people who have literally undermined your capital.
If the attack is going well, you are walking into a trap.
Even if the attack isn’t going well you still could be walking into a trap.
if youve just disarmed some traps, youre probably walking into a trap
If you couldn’t possibly be walking into a trap… You’re walking into a trap.
“I always think everything could be a trap — which is why I am still alive…” –Prince Humperdink
“only two could be opened in a reasonable timeframe”…..GOLLY, I WONDER WHY?
Must resist Ackbar meme…must resist Ackbar meme…
Ackbar meme? What Ackbar meme?
Admiral Akbar, “Return of the Jedi”
“It’s a trap!”

The attack plan worked like a well oiled machine
It was a it of a crude trick.
GD? Gnome Defense?
Gnomeland Defense
… Yes.
Bingo!
Ardaic. This is not how you do suave. Look at my avatar. That is how you do suave. You have it in you, Ardaic.
That was a pretty slick escape…

I dont’ think he ever actually stops thinking about Syr’Nj.
