It means Avians are the must under represented race in the story so far. Sure, we only know one Landshark by name, but we got a good understanding of what most of them are like. Avians, all we have are Condolessa, Rana who barely talks and his doomed mate who only showed up to summon a kraken before getting captured. Not one other Avian has stood out.
Avians are probably not a playable race. I mean, try to imagine a game where one race gets unlimited flight at will, including aerial combat, and none of the other races have access to anything remotely similar. You can probably see how that would turn out!
It would make sense, then, that none of the Avians stand out. They are not supposed to. They are, by design, bystanders to the story of the playable races.
Oh where have you been, my blue winged son?
Where have you been, my AWOL young one?
I’ve – flown by the side of twelve misty mountains
I’ve – rested on limbs in seven sad forests
I’ve – flown over the waves of a dozen dead oceans
Just to – bury my mate in the mouth of a graveyard
And it’s a hard, hard, hard, hard rain’s gonna fall.
“Marathon’d it all in… less than a week. All six seasons. Didn’t see sunlight. Not sure how much I slept. Last two seasons, I’m not even sure which were real episodes and which were dreams.”
don’t think i’ve ever mentioned this but i love the way this comic does the lil dust clouds. It’s so easy to see that stylization being used in a game, it’s nearly a symbol rather than an image — but at the same time it feels real.
Good to see you again, birdy boy.
He certainly looks eggsausted. Not that he was ever particularly plucky, mind.
Though he does look a bit plucked.
Man, what good is flight if you have to keep asking for directions?
Bummer…Since he couldn’t bring back any milk, then Penk will have to settle for eating dry cookies.
I hope he takes the new direction as well as Gondalessa.
I’m pretty sure Trolls are lactose-intolerant, anyway.
Hmm. I just realized, both of the story-significant Avians have lost their mates.
No idea what this means, but it occurred to me.
(But, lesson learned: Do not date an Avian, unless they’re clearly Spacefiller #4.)

I guess it is because they are not really suited for flying. I mean, look at the helmet. And the goggles.
I haven’t seen an OLD Avian so far…
See, if his mate were still alive, she would have made him stop for directions instead of spending weeks being lost.

Carry on my blue winged son,
There’ll be peace when war is won,
Lay your weary wings to rest,
Don’t you fly no more.
Nicely done, both of you! :)

“Really warmed up to Sawyer.”
Go home folks, nobody’s gonna top this comment.
Not pigeon-man then.

“Where was I? I Rana way. … Why? Did I miss something?”
