The ‘champion’ position for all of them has been distinct from the ‘war leader’ position since the champions were formed. The Champions are the equivalent of a party of adventurers, which don’t always have the same qualifications as those required to lead an army.
Oh, right, I guess I just forgot. That’s the trouble with reading each page as they update since like… chapter 3 or something. I should just stop reading and then start again from the start when it’s finished to really enjoy it.
Don Goblingo isn’t wrong, as a trade partner the Sky Elves could be a huge power player not just because of their arcane knowledge but portals that change the entire trading game and now that they’ve been forced onto the world stage I doubt they’d turn down a better offer after Gastonia gave them a “seat” on the “human” council.
True, but I think Canegham sees his human partners for what they are and will probably stab them in the back before they can do the same or he’ll see the tide of war changing since at this point it looks like the Savage Races will be allied with the Wood Elves and the Gnomes.
The big thing the Don needs to NOT do is pillage. I’m hoping he’s actually suggesting cooperation and full partnership here, and his slimy nature is just making it sound like nasty business, but I’d not hold out hope.
That is the true test of any alliance gathered for noble purposes- how do they react in victory to the losers. And make no mistake- the World’s Rebellion is allied for Noble Cause, though not all may have noble ideals.
Groff doing the same kind of salute Hammerhead was making in the week’s earlier strip, guess it’s Savage Race sign language for Lok’tar Ogar :)
or is it simply that he’s holding Arfa’s arm? I’d like to believe that he’s doing both at the same time.
Oh, I thought HAMMERHEAD doing “whoop-de-doo” was weird too.
…yes alt-text, that goblin does seem kind of Cagey.
I’m sure he’s very interested in the national treasures of the Sky-Elves.
Oh. So the Sky Elves are France. Got it.
I’m guessing he wants to offer condolences to Gondolessa since he is the one that killed his partner.
Gravy: “I miss my buddies from my previous job”.
Yes… “Spiritual matters…” Code for: “Finally the sausage party that is the Worlds Rebellion has an eligible bachelor Arfa approves of… Hyesss.”
He’s a man of the loincloth.
You just Poped in to say that, huh?
Normally I’d burst some bubbles, but my approval of Loincloth Gravedust is simply too great.
I too approve Loincloth Gravedust, but most likely Madam Arfa is soon to die and knows it.
I’m going to miss seeing her in that tent.
Perhaps she intends to go out with a bang?
Yay! Wolf-dude *does* have a name! Now he just needs some kind person to tag him…
Everyone raises their drinks and calls out “to details!” and then look awkward as they thought Penk was offering a toast.
Wait, so what happened to the champion of the fuzzy people then?

But I know I can’t do that… lol. F5

You could say that with the elves…the skies the limit.

…ready for what, Gondolessa?
