So, whats the odds Best recognizes it as a Cyberian weapon? Maybe he even knows how to safely counter or disarm it, making him the big hero after all.
Nah, just let it rip a hole into Cyberia and both sides have to fight a flood of corrupter beasts.
It’s not a Cyberian weapon, though. They built it to utilize the kind of magic that was already present in Arkerra.

I’ve a bad feeling it’ll work perfectly, if just to show this war isn’t a curbstomp battle in favor of our heroes. :-(
But it isn’t a curb-stomp. The last pages show that it’s at least on a equilibrium.
It might work to unite what remains in fighting the tank, though.
Well, maybe “curbstomp” is an exaggeration, but Iwatania isn’t merely on the defensive. The fighting has reached its capital, their only hope to win now is for the super weapon to single-handedly defeat the Adventurers and Savage Races, and the even the *rank-and-file* know it. We’ve even seen the two sides to that last one: extreme optimism or down-to-earth resignation.
I’m hoping the gnomes “accidentally” shoot to far, for the sake of their souls.
Damn that exhaust plume looks toxic enough to instantly kill Captain Planet. Or make Captain Pollution gain like a hundred pounds instantly. Whichever,

Personally, I’m really GUNNING for the confetti.
So, I looked it up, and well, a railgun that size WOULD produce an awful lot of recoil.
Making recoil stabilizing arms somewhat practical, after all. So good.
I’m still wondering how the cannon gets reloaded, with that setup.

Perhaps the arms can be used to load the shells?
I am not sure if it even use a proper round…
it is a magic rail-canon.
I would not be surprised if it shoots a big beam or a magic missile.

I wonder if anyone aside from the folks in the air evil will even see that metal beast? It’s supposed to be able to assault from over a mile away. Which means it can sit neatly out of sight and rain destruction on it’s enemies.
But then again, Taro doesn’t strike me as the type that wants to go unnoticed.
Taro actually caring about collateral damage? He is getting nicer! Still a horrible human being, but not as horrible if he was at all concerned about the collateral damage
He’s worried about the City Walls and the City Gate. With a great big hole in it’s harder to keep people inside the city.
This assault sure is going off the rails.

What if this is the moment HR Giger appears and rejoins the central part of the storyline? Last we saw, he was eating viruses on his way to an apotheosis. But we know- in a general sense- that his plan mainly involves Arkerra.
