Depending on economy is ultimately a losing strategy. If they attack your supply chain, you lose. If you lose too many offensive troops, they can attack your supply chain, and you lose. If for political reasons your supply chain is slowed or stopped, you lose. If your enemy contains you while building up their own economy, you lose. If your enemy offers forth their economy to make your troops defect or surrender, you lose.
Come up with a better strategy, better intel, or whatever your Ultimate Engine is, will ultimately fail.
I think the side with the exposed supply chain here would be the Savage Races who have Sky Elf dissenters working with them. Since Iwatania is on the defensive and they’d already dealt with the gnomes and the remains of the Adventurer’s Guild in the capitol, Iwatania has the secure supply chain. Yes, Iwatania has lost a ton of their offensive forces, but being on the defensive- on home turf, dug in, fortified- means their supplies are with them and secure. The plan to attack the grounded Sky Elves is meant to cut off constant Savage Race reinforcements- to disrupt the Savage Races’ economy.
Otherwise, I agree with your assessment. Unless Iwatania’s secret weapon evens things out enough, the Savage Race is going to win.
Haven’t checked yet, but there was a scene when the Adventurer’s Guild was working with the Gastonian military (I believe it was right before Gastonian airships were unveiled and the Savage Races’ champs led by Goblaurence first fought as a group). Ardaic and the Silver Centurion appeared together but as separate individuals. We now know that just means he gave someone else the amulet.
Yes but it also sounds like it has primarily been Ardaic as many predicted. Something about Ardaic having a super-hero like persona just seems little… cliche.
Finally, this Kingdoms of Arkerra legacy server has caught up with Patch 5.4: Siege of Gastonia. I do wonder though whether they retcon out the unpopular storyline where Taro is not killed, just captured, and escapes during his trial, only to travel back in time to mobilize the Iron Gastonian Army.
And reinstate Father Tom as a main villain for one more expansion, but this time, without just immediately being discarded by H.R., actually working more closely with him to prove a more potent threat?
That map’s gotta be some kind of magic. And so is the Silver Centurion amulet, obviously. So the question is, is the map also made with some kind of magic artifact, or does Jarvis (or Ardaic, for that matter) have some kind of innate magic ability? I don’t think we’ve seen any indication that humans can do magic unaided before.
Prediction: Ardaic will don the SC armor, Syr’Nj will mortally wound him, and then find out that it’s him.
OTOH, I actually think Syr’Nj is capable of killing Ardaic if he insists on standing in the way.
I think it’s just slightly quirky phrasing. If you mentally imagine him stressing MIDLIFE CRISIS instead of ELSE, it just sounds like a patronizing dig about Ardaic not just dealing with shit.
The last domino will fall like a house of cards. Check mate.
Both I and Uno that the game of Life is an Operation full of Risk.
Yahtzee!
And that how you win the Game of Connect 4.
You don’t have a monopoly on these bad jokes.
“Dammit, man! This is the last screen of the Warcraft demo! And the player’s playing Horde!”

I was actually holding out for more than one Silver Centurion.
“Pass the Silver Centurion’s power to another…”
Sounds like there is more than one. Just maybe not more than one at a time.
Any archive-savvy readers know where the Beacon Hill scene is?

Is this what you’re looking for?
Chapter 29, Pg 17
Yes but it also sounds like it has primarily been Ardaic as many predicted. Something about Ardaic having a super-hero like persona just seems little… cliche.
Jarvis is being unusually talkative.
Fun fact: Beacon Hill is the name of the elementary school I attended.
I think panel one alone has more dialogue from Jarvis than the entire rest of the archive.
Why do I get the feeling that his lack of care will bite them in the ass?
I smell a redemption arc coming around.

They’re bound to do it, because some lore-whore at Hurricane wants to give Harky a role that doesn’t involve dying to give his people a chance.
Just change his religion and make him come back as a death-barian. It’s not rocket surgery.
And reinstate Father Tom as a main villain for one more expansion, but this time, without just immediately being discarded by H.R., actually working more closely with him to prove a more potent threat?

Anyone *else’s* midlife crisis.
Yeah, I caught that too. Is the Grand Marshall referring to himself, or some third person not in the room?
I get the impression he’s referring to himself.
I wouldn’t be surprised. He now finds himself an underling for a preteen and commanding a beleaguered army.
