Probably. We haven’t even seen Hollister I think, so unless I missed something it seems like blocking that one blast from the Ultimate Engine pretty much took 150% of what a young skilled Sky Elf mage could muster.
I really would like to have clarification on who’s speaking in the first panel. It’s most likely Goblaurence, but it sounds so much like a stereotypical pirate captain that I want to imagine there’s a designated pilot with a beard, eye-patch, etc.
Bonus points if this bearded pirate figure is a goblin.
I’ve been playing FPS games since before WASD was the default control scheme, so I can say with some authority:
“Gibs” is short for gibblets. With gravy.
And no, that’s not (intentionally) a reference to our Dwarven friend. But a fun coincidence none the less.
Your confusion is caused by the fact that there are TWO horrible purple monsters — the one surrounded by furry accretions, which is what remains of HR, and the one with blue spikes and many eyes raising havoc in the town, which once was Taro.
Apparently, the H.R. sepia world body remain bound to his avatar brother Homon and this last one is now zombified but I think the H.R. mind is or in an other body (probably native of an other realm) or outside from any body.
About the eye monster, I think it isn’t an H.R. avatar (nor H.R. himself) but it’s possible H.R. sent it somehow.
About the other monster. I think it isn’t more Taro than any of the other zombies that was near from the core just before it appears . I also think this second monster is a kind of egg or nest (a living one, in both cases) that will give birth to several corruptor beasts (eye monsters).
If you look back several pages, the HR monster has a whirlwind of the purple monsters swirling around him. That’s why bits and pieces of them are flying out.
Clair is looking rather drained maybe she’s the half dead elf Gobularence was referring to.

I thought Hollister died awhile back.

Oh crap, I forgot about that. Well spotted.
Pretty sure that is the moment Tsapki was referring to
These mixer parties never work out.
You mean PUG’s? But yeah i know the feeling, they never work.
Ugh pugs yeah, hate their stupid faces.
Yeah, especially since H.R. is doing such a poor job of blending in.
Gravedust: “What are you going to do?”
Clair: “I’m gonna do magic to it.”
Syr’nj: “EVERYBODY STOP STEALING MY LINE”

“Batten down the hatches! Swab the poop-deck! *muttering* Damn those seagulls.”
About the alt-text: Gibblets…visceral “chunks” in video games are called ‘gibblets.’
;)
“gibblets” ? Maybe in some games… In FPS, it’s named gibs

Um….. Ew… and vaguely ineffective?

This is going to be apocalyptic if the fuckers get their way.
What’s the giant purple furry thing the monster’s hiding behind? I don’t remember that.

No, I’m aware that there are both the H.R. monster and the arcanocrystal-fed monster. It’s the furry donut that’s got me.

Most MESSY attack roll ever.
It’s like trying to feed an infant sitting in a high chair…Every meal is a mess that has to be swept/mopped/scrubbed up afterward.
