Agreed and perhaps HR isn’t absorbing her because he values her albeit as his chief disciple. That makes her choice all the more important. If she shoots him because he tries to absorb her it’s self defense, but if she realizes how evil he it’s a matter of conscience. Right now she could shoot him or the 5 which means she could control the fate of the universe.
I doubt HR would refrain from trying to absorb Carol. That’s kind of key to what’s happening with Carol: she’s struggling with her hero-worship of HR, set against her realization that he doesn’t care about her or anyone else, that his egomania is collapsing into literal solipsism.
I’d guess she’s in a similar state to Shanna and Zan: the absorption is just beginning. But she’s still able to act, and she’s reaching for that gun.
It seems that Syr’Nj is channeling a bit of Rockhound from the movie Armageddon here:
“The pay is good, the scenery changes & they let me play with explosives.”
:D
Well, HR, you keep your mouth open and any bee(jerker) can fly in it. What’s the matter? Cut got your tongue? No matter what, I bet you find this unpalatable.
My Guess is the Walls between Dimensions is going just a bit Wibbly. Either way I hope they stop the End Boss before Shanna becomes Munchies for H.R. Cuthulupants.
HR’s plan was always something to the effect of “become an incarnate god in Arkerra while linked to the real world so that I become a god there too.” I guess it’s working.
According to Weo, his plan might be to wipe out all worlds so he make a “perfect” one. Which is probably why he’s so angry with the five. He can’t completely destroy Akerra until he kills them. And he can’t kill them directly. He has to make them want to die.
The initial premise for this whole saga is that somehow, Arkerra became “real”, independent of its origin. So, it’s been a question all along how the two worlds relate to each other.
If HR found a way to subordinate Arkerra, despite it having become independent of Sepia World, maybe what he’s done works on Sepia World as well.
A single match flares. An arrow flies through it, becoming a fiery streak that cuts through the violet sky. When it lands, a chain reaction begins; rolling into a detonation so powerful that even those left behind in Gastonia’s capital can feel it rumble in their chest. And there, as the shockwave knocks the ashes from his cigar, Goblaurence gazes at the rising smoke plume.
Byron’s not just channeling an ordinary Wolverine here (well, half-wolverine anyway…His red side even has the right hairstyle)…He’s going full-blown Beserker Wolverine. He’s gone from being an ordinary killing machine into becoming: http://my.evilmilk.com//p/152-f8ulz_s.jpg
Best Band. It will steel your heart away.
Nuts. I don’t have the bed to buy a Breast –
wait – I mean I don’t have the bread to buy a Best. Concert ticket. Never. Mind.
Looks like Shanna and Zan are being absorbed. I don’t see Carol so maybe she’s gone already.
I think it’s more that they are just being pushed up against the ceiling, hard.
Nah, those lines you see on her arm and leg, and his head, would be everywhere if that was them being shoved.
I think they’re just screaming because they can’t move and there are purple smoke tendrils heading straight toward them.
Nah, she’s just off camera I’m sure. Why show her realizing that she has a gun near her just to have her immediately be absorbed off-screen

I like gravy and Syr’Nj’s bit because ya apparently that is how it works
Needs must when the devil drives.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but Syr’Nj does have a bag of holding, right?
Don’t know if she did before, but NOW she does.
She definitely does, first referenced here I believe: http://guildedage.net/comic/chapter-4-page-13/
Thank you for searching for that.

Third panel… Wut Da HELL!?
I mean yeah, HR is starting to absorb the real world into his in game God Goo but how!?
Eldritch abomination?
My Guess is the Walls between Dimensions is going just a bit Wibbly. Either way I hope they stop the End Boss before Shanna becomes Munchies for H.R. Cuthulupants.
Because Sepia World is not the real world?
That makes too much sense. You stop that.
Yeah, enough with the logic and science and facts and stuff. HR never paid any attention to them, and look at him now!

Or at least this what it sounds like so far.

Ahh, the wonders of bomb skills in games without an ammo system.
Hey it makes perfect sense. Survival mode requires you to eat and drink to keep healthy… and you know… poop ammo.
I read the lyrics on this page in the tune of “Raise Your Glass” by P!nk. :-)
Feeling some Bestial urges.
Excellent.
Time for Syr’Nj to Do Science To It.
LOL. Old Best is on drums. Any odds on him spontaneously combusting to earn his tombstone?
That’s ‘fresh out of the Techno Suit/seer village’ Best, first Best is singing.
Where’s the main Best? The Freddibest? Without him, those guys are just… the Alt-Bests.
He’s backing up Frigg. Or fronting for Frigg. Or something to do with Frigg.
I mean they could still just be HR’s alts

And he smiles.
I upvote this!
Syr’nj is making her thoughts real, just like Frigg does. Hoo-boy… this is gonna be epic…
Well, it’s like they say: Country Berserkers make do.

Syr’Nj’s power finally revealed: Supernatural preparedness.
That bit with the explosives reminds me of the end of Rare Exports…
Gravy’s powerup is still missing… what will he be?
