See you soon! Love you all lots~
Any chance you’ll hit up one of the southern California cons?
The #1 thing you all can do is contact your local cons and tell them to invite us! Going further than a few states away gets a bit pricey.
I’m from Southern California too, but am not too familiar with which cons to reach out to to invite you guys besides San Diego Comic Con. Is there a specific convention you guys can recommend we contact to try to get you guys out here?
Montreal Comiccon, july 7th-9th.
Sad to see it go but glad to see it wrap up rather than just suddenly go on permanent hiatus while unfinished.
That’s what I was wondering. They gonna finish it before 2018, then?
I don’t suppose we could see you at Phoenix Comic Con? It’s pretty sizable and I’d love to see you there!
Hi T,
You and the GA crew need to come up to Halifax, Nova Scotia for HalCon. Meaghan and I promise to treat you all to a tasty home-cooked meal for your troubles.
I’d certainly love the opportunity to hear what the crew is cooking up next, ideaverse-wise.
Dragon Con?
^ Please!
Please also.
We applied! Still waiting to hear back.
It’d be fantastic if you could squeeze Motor City Comic Con (May 19-21) between Tidewater and BaltiCon, but if that can’t happen I might just have to make the journey to Philly.
Either way I’ll be bringing along Bayen and Brayen. :D
Sold out, it appears D:
If you come to Dragon*Con I can get a new photo of T to go with the one I took of him at Dragon*Con fifteen years ago.
Will you be coming to GenCon Indy this year? I k own you’ve been before and if love to see how guys one last time before the comic ends.
Would love to, but submissions are over already, apparently.
It’s been more than twenty years since i did BaltiCon last – wish i had the money…
“Silver Springs.
Baltimore.
Washington.
Baltimore.”
You said Baltimore twice.
“I like Baltimore!”
Well, it just happens to be the middle point between where T and I live as well!
Stockholm!
Hey, a man can dream…
I’m not a con person, nor a meet-your-heroes person, but if they were to come to Stockholm, I might actually take the 400 km trip there, just to make them feel a little bit more welcome. ;)
Good to see other Scandi fans!
Nothing on the west coast?
T and I would never survive the road trip, in that one of us would probably eat the other.
If a con wants to fly us out, we’re down.
If you can make it to Emerald City Comic Con, I would be ever-so chuffed.
I feel fine.
Can always come to Basel Con. It’s only a short drive over the Atlantic, and through Germany.
That part of Germany is now called France!
Just read this entire comic in like, 3 days or so. Glad to see I made it just in time.
Not sure, but you guys should defiantely try to make it to a Southern Con at some point, I personally live in Louisiana so Im biased towards here. Will do some searching and report back later.
DragonCon – LaborDay Weekend
or
Furry Weekend Atlanta in April 2018 – Love to have you as a panelist. I work with the programming dept there.
both in
Atlanta Georgia
So, if you work with a furry convention, does that mean you’re a champion of the fuzzy people? Hyes?
Drop us a line with con details, Jelliqal! guildedagecomic@gmail.com
What about Arisia in Boston. I know it’s not till Jan of 2018 but we are trying to expand the artists for comics that come by. Last year our Guest of Honor was Ursula Vernon of Digger.
Definitely interested! If you know anyone on staff, have them reach out to us: guildedagecomic@gmail.com
I recommend Arisia as well. It has a nice mix of programming.
If furry cons are an option, then Anthrocon is the biggest (and also the only con I am able to attend in the USA).
I might have to try and make one of those in the Northeast.
I would love it if you could attend Phoenix Comicon.
CONvergence is the biggest convention in Minnesota. It’d be a real treat to see you there.
:c Do not want.
… The comic to end, at least. Also, I have no idea if there’s any cons in/around Wisconsin, because I’m that much of a nerd that I don’t leave my house to congregate with other nerds.
It’s probably for the best, I can’t guarantee that I wouldn’t cling to you and never let go.
Yes, I’m that much of a fangirl and I’m not afraid to admit it.Teslacon is in Wisconsin.
I’m not sure if a con can get any more nerdy if it’s already named after Tesla, King of Nerds.
Now I am intrigued.
I never seem to find many webcomics that have a permanent end to their story, the exception in my mind being Zap! which was an incredible journey, and the difference and improvements to the art and drawing from start to finish was mesmerising to watch.
I don’t live in the USA, but I hope that I’m not the only person who enjoys reading the story from around the world, eager to see what the final lap brings us :)
I heartily agree with both of you about Zap!. Pascalle Lepas has a new comic, Wilde Life, that has been running for about a year and half now and it’s quite different from her previous work, but also quite excellent! Her storytelling and art never disappoints.
Good luck with the convention circuit, folks! I’d say add ECCC (Emerald City ComiCon) for your trip if it was possible, but it’s already been and gone earlier this month.
For webcomics with a completed story I recommend “Digger” and “Archipelago” and “Lint”.
And “Battlepug”
“Lint” has the same type of progression as “Zap!” – ridiculous characters in a silly story at the beginning, then the characters grow, the art improves, and the story gets intense, leading to a deeply moving ending.
I suggest Adventurers! if you can survive the horror of about a dozen comics drawn in late 90’s Photoshop, and Dr. McNinja is always, always a good choice. There’s a few other webcomics I read that will, eventually, have an ending (Gunnerkrigg, Darths and Droids) but just haven’t gotten that far yet.
… Getting nostalgic for old comics is a bad idea while attempting to do my job.
Oh, meant to link Adventurers! – it’s a bit… out there, considering the ending was ten years ago. http://www.giantrobot.club/adventurers
When that ended all I could say was “Sigh, times are tough.”
Man, I remember reading that and Bob and George.
Wasn’t aware Zap had ended…
Heading down to Texas would be appreciated for sure~! A-Kon or San Japan is probably your best one : )
Rose City Comic-Con, Portland, OR September 8-10. I’ll buy you a beer…
I think it might be a bit out of hand coming to Brazil on a convention ^^v
So guys, if you’re ending this comic. Do you have another one in the works to replace it? Or are you just stop making comics to move onto something else?
Neither one of us will ever stop making comics probably but whether we do it together or on our own projects after this is up in the air!
I look forward to seeing whatever you guys do next, whether it’s together or apart.
I’m only going to Too Many Games in Philly and E3 this year.
It’s too bad this came out so late. I would have liked to see you guys come up to Michigan for Penguicon but registration for artists closed in February.
Astl and G.A.M.E.?
“Hitting as many conventions as we can possibly stomach.” So, what, two? Maybe three? :P
Maybe I’m just too old, but conventions are nothing but a pain in the hind quarters. :/
Seems like you guys would be naturals for PAX Unplugged in Baltimore in November…
I thought it was going to be in Philly? Anyway, I will reach out to them.
Such an unexpected turn of events :-)
All I’m saying.. is.. you better not let me down. I want to see you both in cult robes.
That is all.
Ya know, in order to literally ‘hit the road’, you have to go out to a road, and start hitting it. Not necessarily with your fists, but with something.
If you are being literal, which you say you are.
Just sayin’. ;)
What about Otakon? It’s later than the listed cons, but it’s real big! It’s moved to DC this year, August 11-13!
It’s not a traditional comic con, but I met you guys at Katsucon many years ago, which turned me into a reader!
Any coming near wisconsin???
Umm will you be printing the rest of the story as well? or are volumes 1 -3 the whole story, I am a bit confused.
It is unlikely we will be printing more volumes after the third.
would it not be possible to use kickstarter to fund it if need be, I would really like to have the whole story printed if possible. I’m sure others must feel the same way seeing as nothing on the internet is permanent
As a Chicagoland native, if you guys were to appear at Wizard World or C2E2, that’d be swell.
Hahahaha, last year…
APRIL FOOL’s
Umm… Is April early this year?
See you at AwesomeCon! Let us know where you’ll be at!
I don’t really feel emotionally equipped for GA coming to an end…
If you guys could visit southern Germany it would be great!
I’d just like to say that i love your guys’ webcomic. I’ve been following it for years, and you never disappoint. I’ve never commented, but I really should say how much this means to me. Best of luck on future endeavors.
Come to Sydney Supanova!
Would Boston Comicon be a possibility?
This page is already completely out of date… =/ … By a few days, actually.
