Actually, I’m kinda curious about what moved him to comment on Byron’s exercise. Somewhat uncharacteristically, he is the one to start the convo. Maybe he’s trying a little harder to be a people because Fr’Nj is rubbing off on him (cough), or maybe he’s probing for the truth about Byron’s actions because they could affect the whole profession of adventuring and therefore his own destiny. Yeah, that second one sounds more likely, now that I type it out.
Since Merv and Clark have apparently been doing all the talking so far, it may be a bit soon to judge the crowd’s storytelling capabilities anyway.
Not super relevant to this page specifically but I’ve always been curious, what’s the distinction between the soldiers with better unpainted armor and the soldiers outfitted in Gastonian colors? Field/garrison troops?

Why so many frowny faces? Are they all jealous of Clark’s big fish or something?
I imagine listening to a winding tale that leads nowhere, while in full armor on what’s probably a warm day, is what gives those frown muscles an involuntary workout.
Despite being laconic, I felt that Scipio could still feel the room. I was under the impression that his idle chat here was more of an allowed opening, knowing that this discussion was unavoidable.
