I enjoyed watching the readers start to puzzle over it as Best drew first blood. Why wasn’t he proving to be all talk and no action? Well, surely that was just a fluke.
Phil was clearly doing more in terms of distorting and re-Photoshopping the sound effects here than he would in other places. They’re sort of the stars of the show here.
I would’ve liked to do more tooling around with rage comics than this offhand reference, which, like most of this sequence, was all Phil. These days, though, it’d probably be too dated to pick that idea up. Oh, well, you have your fun where you can.
Well, this time around I can’t top seeing Gravedust’s bow as just a little red sneak creeping up to give Frigg a little lick on the cheek.
Given her character path leading, eventually, to the meme-gods, this rage comic reference was a nice early touch. rather “bravo” even if I forgot about it entirely XD
Even earlier: her “INVISIBUL CATFUCKERY” drawing, which I never forgot. ^_^
I wonder why Best choked way up on his axe’s haft/neck, and went for a flesh wound rather than like the spine or something. The cave isn’t tight enough there to prohibit a full swing.
Maybe Best doesn’t want to damage his musical instrument, so he doesn’t use it to its full capacity as a weapon.
