After going elaborate with his first guest strip, Seb went simple for this one.
ICYMI in the comments, Seb is now running a graphic design company in the UAE.
Most of the artists we considered showed a flair for comedy, but Seb also showed a bit of emotional range and an interest in color and detailing that we knew Guilded Age was going to need more of, not less, in the months ahead (especially once we introduced Sepia World). So like I said months back, we mulled him as an option for about as long as we could before making up our minds. Tomorrow: the strip that convinced us to go with John.
Out of curiosity, was that actually based on a photo of Erica’s shoes?
I don’t think so… I certainly didn’t provide any reference for them, and I was Seb’s main point of contact, but he might’ve pulled them from a social-media update somewhere.
