Prediction – this guy thinks the machine is being built for Gastonia, but the head gnomes are actually going to give it to the beasts. They’ll defeat him and the war machine by revealing the truth, then he’ll destroy it (and kill himself in the process).

Doubtful. They are already enslaving and killing Gnomes. The Gnomes won’t do what’s bad for Gnomes.

Rather, I think, when the war is one, when they have proven themselves and contracts have been signed… they will wait. For petty sqabbles between houses or kingdoms to start up. And then… they will sell the new, improved versions.

      To both sides.

I should clarify that this doesn’t preclude them selling things to the beasts as well, just that I don’t think they’ll be directly backing them in an alliance, or giving them the best toys.

Gnomes are a third force in the whole thing, taking Gastonia’s funding and running off.

That, or playing both ends against the middle. Toss some arms to the World’s Rebellion, toss a few more to the Gastonians … but keep the best gear for yourselves. Let them slug it out awhile and spend the best of their strength battering one another. After the war, it’s a simple mop-up operation.

Bandit may be in trouble. That command center looks very intuitive. Easily controlled. Very Ergan-gnomic.

“The” war machine? Looks like a stable full. Also, since Gnometown is all pissed off about Gastonian “peacemakers” up in their shit – why would they be giving Gastonia a war machine? I’m a little confused as to the actual state of affairs between the two kingdoms.

I mean, Col. Pornstache acts like he has the right to *demand* answers from the gnomes; the gnomes act as though Gastonia has deeply offended them even before said demands for answers; and now this – runt – is claiming the war machine is Gastonian property?

The story just got majorly complicated for me. I’ve no idea what the connection between Gastonia, gnomes, the war machine, the savage races and this pirate kid is.

It’s like traitor gnomes are giving weapons to the World’s Rebellion but at the same time they also hate the savage races and the Gastonian government and are working with the pirate kid to develop war machines just because they enjoy doing it regardless of who’s using them and what for which is why they tried to make a deal with Gastonia to make weapons for them (foiled by Bandit) so they were like “Oh well, we’ll just give them to those stupid “savages”, let the world burn woooooo!”.

I’m not complaining though, will be fun to see where this leads.

I think it’s just a matter of arming the enemies but then arming your allies better.

The Gnomes stand to profit off of war.

Fool… smart boy left the hatch open. (more on that later…)

Now then… what would really be fun is Bandit suckering him to chase her up to street level to rampage thru the city.

    Mayhem for EVERYONE!!!

The look on Frigg’s face would be priceless…

Looks like they’ve built several war machines.

Looks like Frigg and Bandit need to get their acts together and form the Science Ninja Team. A Bird Missile would solve this readily.

That’s exactly what I’m thinking. Those sort of things annoy me to no end.

There was a scene in Criminal Minds where someone in an SUV was trying to run a victim over in a parking lot. So what’s the victim do? Runs directly away, and gets smeared on the wall. That brainless idiot deserves to die, given that a parking lot is full of concrete beams and cars that you can run between and a freaking SUV can’t follow!

From what it looks like, it was the choice of turn around and run or wind up on the ground, since it shows the ladder getting thrown to the side by the machine moving. I mean, it seemed like it just to a flip of a switch to get the machine moving, and Bandit can’t move that fast.

Jeff: Yeah, almost mentioned that, too, I hate it when people run _straight_ away from contraptions that don’t steer that well, e.g. around corners.
Amaster: Well, she could’ve hopped onto the machine, would’ve been harder to smear her.
