If I remember correctly, she’s having a flash back to the beginning of the entire comic (or close enough) where they fought a demonic(?) wolf creature on/in a volcano. I’m guessing it said the exact same thing, which is why Frigg paused. I think I’d pause too because it’s a little creepy to have two completely different entities telling you the exact same thing.
The flash-forwards we used to get at the start of chapters were supposed to be glimpses of future butt-kicking. I personally believe that we are yet to see that particular flash-forward realised. I believe it was a preview of whe nthe savage reaces steal Graiya’s Bough, and attempt to use it to summon Tectonicus. However, there are references in some of Gravedust’s journals that suggest it was simply a lone, crazed gnoll attempting to summon Tectonicus, and that it has already been dealt with off-screen. If so, this would be disappointing, but I admit that it is quite a plausible interpretation.
As for connections between the summoning gnoll and the Insanity Wolf, not sure. No-one’s ever mentioned it before. I think the summoning gnoll looks more like Auraugu, Champion of the Fuzzy Peoples.
While the wolf didn’t appear on that page, the same voice she heard from that dream, (and I believe the first time she heard it) was “no one can stop you, they can only hope to contain you.”* so it’s all coalescing in her head together now: the dreams and their relation to her power. That face is the face of a girl for whom something just clicked.
Or frigg’s high as fuck and Rachel just turned into a glowing eyed wolf right there.
Could insanity wolf be bleed-over from their original lives? Has Frigg’s madness created a minor insanity, or perhaps vengeance god, whose boon she has received?
That next to last panel is definitely something to ponder…

Maaaybe I’m just really tired, but it seems to me like the quality of the dialogue writing has dropped significantly in recent months. The storyline is still interesting, the art is still decent, but the characters aren’t nearly as engaging, for me at least, as they once were. The dialogue just seems flat and kinda corny. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
