And then it will turn out that in his culture, this is the traditional response when someone saves your life, and it doesn’t actually mean much (other than the computer is a ‘shipper… *Blink*

Holy %^&$ The computer is reacting as if a PC is present. Is Frig still around? Unless that earlier interaction forced this issue…ooooo O-O

I think that scipio is a player character and 80% sure that the elf whos name I can’t actively remember is too. But you are right, they seem to be going into depths that they normally only hit when one of “the 5” are around.

… maybe Scipio is not just a player character? Maybe he’s one of the Five? He did only appear after Best died, who knows how long that’s been

Let’s just hope Scipio doesn’t pop her varryn. Flawed though he may be Syr’d dad has had enough stress. His sap pressure must be tree high.

R u sayin’ they’re acorn to pollinate? Pining to bark together at the moon? Wood elves are smokin’ hot, and Scipio’s big torso could use some lumber support.

I think this actually counts as cross-pollination.

Looks like the royal family’s in for some new hybrids! Bigger, stronger saplings, less prone to rust or thrips. Hardier in a wider range of zones, drought-resistant. Rosier fruit…

How could Poppa think this is a bad thing?

Well, less efficient/prevalent chloroplasts/root systems would probably be an issue – plus the whole abandonment issue (humans have comparative problems putting down roots).

Exactly! Even if he’s not looking for a commitment, he’s definitely grateful and she’s cute. Besides, unless he’s aiming for a three-way or Rachel is kind enough to leave them alone, I doubt it’s going farther than a kiss right now.

If I recall when E-Merle asked for a consultation Scipio said he wasn’t experienced with talking to women. Outside of the talking part, who knows? This could be pretty regular behavior for him. For all we know he’s leaves a satisfied woman in every town he passes through wondering what his name is. Silent doesn’t necessarily mean celibate.

“Out of nowhere?” Maybe, but the *one* emotion (if you can even call it that?) that we’ve heard Scipio express is “it only hurts when my team doesn’t fucking heal me.” So someone came along and took up the slack, and as Dove said, “he’s grateful and she’s cute.” And he probably wasn’t injured enough to have not heard any of the things she’s been saying about him. So he had a clue it wouldn’t be unwelcome…

What do you bet that Daedalus’ spell got Scrunched, all the effects of “feted, well-fed, distracted” for the whole crew, laid on Scipio (the tank contained the aggro!)
Or… maybe the effects were distributed: Byron is distracted (you saw him), Syr is well-fed, and Scipio is about to be feted.

You know, this was something to expect from him. I mean, he never speak too much, does him? So, what better than a “thank you” and a kiss to express his gratitude?
Of course, I don’t know what would have happened with the healer being a guy… maybe just a “thnx…”

I think, when Fr’Nj was first introduced, there were actually comments along these lines, predicting that attraction to humans runs in the family. Admittedly, most such comments seemed to ship Fr’Nj and Byron, predicting sisterly conflict, but even so, it appears they called it.
