“No, sprouts. That bear has dysentery. You mustn’t wriggle your toes in his scat, no matter how hungry you are.”

“Not it, driving the bear wagon!”

              “Yeah! The bear called shotgun.”

I didn’t even notice that one. And with most of the vague posts around here being clever jokes and sacred puns, it wasn’t immediately obvious what this was even about.

So maybe it would have been more helpful to state explicitly that: In the third panel, “a millenia” should be “a millennium”.

You know, since it apparently didn’t seem to occur to the one who’d have to fix it?

    I work for a Jerkocracy.

I find the best way to deal with it is to subtly screw with all their plans, undermine their authority, and openly mock their managerial decisions.

It accomplishes absolutely nothing beyond annoying them.

    Small victories.

Has nobody else noticed that Kur’ik bears a faint resemblance to Felinda Daly, both in physical appearance and choice of career? Methinks perhaps Miss Daly is working her story from a different angle, and if so, she may have just hit the jackpot…

An excellent segue! I was particularly moved by the two seeds drifting off the plant in the foreground of the last panel. A noticeable but not too overbearing metaphor for the Elves finally starting to spread out and grow elsewhere.

And having set the stage I’ll hope for some follow-up puns which I have carefully avoided using in this post ;)

I thought her name was pronounced Kirk, before someone twigged to the possibility that Kur’Ik is Shanna.

Kirk courics… That must be an astronomical amount of courics.

To boldly go, where no elf has gone before…

I guess we know what the scrolls will get used for, if the chronicler’s log ends up stinking.
