New Comics Every Weekday - Written by T Campbell & Phil Kahn - Illustrated by John & Jason Waltrip
I’d ship it. Harky/Techy otp.
5 days a week??????
Is this permanent!?
yes it is! till they run into burn out or extra pages, what ever come first.
or until someone plays a destroy all permanents card. grr.
that would explain all the red and black.
Wrath of Tectonicus?
Then we just need to make it indestructible!
Hmm, thoughts on those spirits flying about?
Tectonicus’ view of the other gods, like how old maps of Thailand in Thailand made it look bigger than China?
They seem to represent different elemental/natural forces.
Bingo… nature (wood?), water, wind, lightning, and (of course) fire.
The 5 elements… from a (classical) Asian POV.
Yeah, I only realized that purple thing was lightning after I saw this post. >.>
Some tecticulii just want to watch the world burn.
it looks like someone is about to get all fired up.
If you ash me, This scene is going to get a little heated.
He seems a little coal-hearted for a god – wouldn’t want to get on his bad side. Looks like the plot’s gonna heat up.
Well. I suppose I would have been surprised if he’d said “No.”
He would have been Master in Trolling, then.
And then Beyoncé came out and sang the Troll National Anthem. And then there was an hour delay as the room faded to black.
betcha a dollar HR doesnt know about tectonicus.
betcha ten he manifests as a sepia-world villan.
to expand.. it’s clear HR has no control over the characters or their environment (or even KNOWLEDGE of their environment) when they are dead, near death, or otherwise dealing with things of a not-alive nature. that i think is his unknown variable, or his ghosts in the machine (pun marginally intentional) – HR sees the guilded world as a game server – but the guilded world is, in fact, a world with its own afterlife and the whole deal.
ergo, tectonicus is a malevolent “ghost in the machine”, whereas the savasi shamans are the benevolent counterpart. at least, so far. Graiya i’d drop is as a neutral party. gotta have balance.
That’s what happens when you don’t invoke the Omnissiah properly and anoint the machine with sacred oils before performing repairs.
Or attempt apotheosis by offering Tzeentch a guinea pig. Doesn’t end well.
Oh gosh. Trolls flaming everyone forever?!
Didn’t know Occam had a drum kit.
It’s the simplest way to illustrate razor-sharp wit.
Super glad that this is 5 days a week now.
Boo! Tectonicus, you suck! By the way, this is a total Deus Ex Machina.
Eh, at least he was only officially “dead” the page before. It could be worse.
I’m not sure you get points if he’s literally a god, and they’re literally in a machine.
Tectonicus: God of Herpes.
Through the fire and the flames he carries on?
Wasn’t Herpes the son of Zeus?
I thought it was something you got in your Hephaestus.
man, THAT was a hammerblow.
The hammer is his penis?
Aw look! He’s smiling! I think he likes you.
How is it that things without lips can always speak perfectly? It should be:
“I a’ Tectonicus. I hear yuh, ‘y ‘lessed son, ‘y greatest ser’ant. Yor greatest duty: yuh ‘ill li’, yuh ‘ill ‘ight. Trolls ‘ill sur’i. Ene’ees ‘ill ‘urn.”
Gods don’t actually speak, that is why they have to write all their thoughts out in fire.
Hehe, I hear you on the no lips thing. I’m practicing trying to play a Thrikreen for a Dark Sun campagin later in the year and it’s often a pain and a half trying to find replacement words for anything with a b, f m, p or v.
Hmm… this *doesn’t* bode well for the ‘peace-making’ crowd.
Harky is taking on (IMO) the role of ‘Holy Warrior’… those kinda folks *don’t* grasp ‘moderation’ too well.
(And I sorta called it… Harky IS coming back with a buff… ‘Favored by Deity’. That’ll keep Frigg busy; Harky just might KA-SMITE her…)
Tectonicus is op in my opinion.
They need to nerf him so badly. My raid group can’t even get him below 90%.
Stop standing in fire.
God damnit Leeroy.
I still think Tectonicus is HR’s way of taking back control of the game, i.e. he goes into the tank and enters the game as a boss.
Like a BOSS!
Artwork here is beautifully rendered. With the retina display on my phone the picture feels 3D. And super disturbing.
Thank you very much, Bounces. We’re glad you like it. I think Jason will be particularly gratified. He did the coloring on this page.
Harky: “Dad can I go to bed now?
Tectonicus: “No, now finish your homework”
OK, so the little guy standing on Tectonicus’ head – that’s Harky’s spirit, which I think we saw flowing down through the earth last page?
I guess everyone has to “touch base” once in a while…
If the tiny blue Harky spirit is supposed to be life-size, Tectonicus is BIG.
Also, are those little studs on his head or does he have ten eyes?
I think he has a few extra eyes, more eyes is more intimidating. That and no eyes. That’s just freaky.
Actually, Rob, those little studs on his head are his eyes, and the two large holes in front are his nostrils. There’s another image of Tectonicus on page 23 of chapter 15 that’ll give you a better idea of what his head looks like in relation to his body.
After 10 minutes of trying hard, I actually could see what you mean.
man, it is hard to see it
Man, them are some biiiiig nostrils.
He must pick his nose a lot.
I don’t get why the server wants to render all of this while there are no player characters around… seriously, waste of calculations.
couple of things. are the spirits circling tec’s head the shaman from the summoning ritual back in bial vezk? and can we get a textless version of this page as a gravatar option?
1) They’re probably related, yes.
2) Perhaps! Might do it in wallpaper, too.
“Tectonicus, my lord and master…I see your bald spot has gotten larger since I was before you…”
Tectonicus is the spiritual representation of /b/… A huge mass of hate, trolls and flame wars.
