Somehow I knew that padding would come in handy. It’s no “get out of death free” card, but it still counts for something.

It certainly tips the scales in his favor.

Used to have a glow-in-the-dark penguin (or maybe a ghost) Weeble Wooble (one of the originals, not the fairly recent remade-obamanation)

    First?

Also, with that girth, im not terribly surprised by his durability, he has a lot of padding to cushion the fall.

The next time a farmer spots his daughter with Bert, Bert isn’t going to run away, no matter the request.

Most of Bert’s injuries didn’t come from the fall but Braggadocio landing on him.

Well, in last page’s last panel you can actually see that Bert is falling first and Braggadocio follows, so I’d say it’s plausible…

If so, I can only imagine that ending like dropping a tomato onto a caltrop.

I wonder why we didn’t see Bert in the present? I hope he wasn’t trying to tell Ardaic that he got hungry on the way to the office…

The milk should be bagged separately, so it doesn’t crush the potato chips.

Deffinatly, also, can’t have the bread crushed either can we? Can’t have soldiers eating smooshed sandwiches, now can we?

This is not the look of a man who wants to return to duty. There’s already so many interesting characters, but I can’t help but want to see more of where Bragg’s story goes.

Yes. Alas, not only it is not up to him to decide wether to go back to duty or not, but it’s a matter of defending Gastonia. A matter of being a Gastonian soldier, in fact. Ol’ Brag’ shouldn’t have joined the Armed Forces. He would have been much more at his place as a chef, a tavern owner or a gastronomic critic.

Traditionally, you need two heroes to make a hero sandwich, rather than put the hero in the middle…

On the other hand, how would Bert have fared if Brag had not been tossed down with him, but rather some other, less padded guard?

In my headcanon, Bragadoccio isn’t actually fat. He’s a Hoffmanite.

Braggs learned well as an early lad that min/maxing in Str and HP was as close to immortality as a Tank can get.

Brag should defect. With his proprtions and beard, he’d make a great honorary dwarf.
