How convenient that Brother Ashok had just recently purchased a blood-urn…

Brother Tom’s eyes in the second panel are very dewy. So very dewy. I feel a little flustered.

But yeah, this is such a great page and I think a nice encapsulation of how this chapter’s played out, with the comedy and the camaraderie you can find when you’re with people who share your passions, but then also the sacrificing and the apocalypse and no refunds on the ticket even if you have a really bad time like when your buddy stabs you in the back and it’s like geeeeeez, I came all the way out here for this? Well, maybe the goodie bag’s got some cool stuff in it.

These eyes scream “I-it’s not like I’m doing this for you or anything… I-it’s for the Countless One, s-so don’t get the wrong idea, got it?!”

Starry eyes, “pretty please” pet eyes, what’s coming next from Tom?

Look, if you’re not willing to commit to this thing 100%, I don’t know why you even showed up, let alone volunteered for prime time.

Now shut up and accept the gift of horrible bloody death already, ingrate.

    It’s super effective!

That said, you shouldn’t trust cultists. Ever. Even if you’re another cultist. That way leads to them talking you into sacrificing your cat on an altar.

But he was also going to feed the cat. So the cat is imperiled. This dilemma is known as Ashok’s Cat.

WooooHoooooo and Ulak wins.If one of them had to go,it might as well be the useless human noob.
Thats good Villian material right there.
And as a Bonus he can keep the thingie that the human is holding.

No, no, no. You’re still looking at this through the blinders of mortality.
Ulak doesn’t win. He gets to live. He gets to stay in Arkerra.
Brother Tom was describing a NEW WORLD that he’s going to open a gateway to.
Ashok is the winner. He gets to be the first to travel there. And the first to spread the teachings of the Order of the Countless Limbs in this new land. His name will be praised. His name will be cursed. He will be remembered.

aw man I hope Ulak gets to go. If a human shows up in sepia world, meh. But if a troll shows up? The exact same trolls that are in the video game, professing the exact same cult as in the game?

I love Ashok’s lips. And his nose. And those eyes that put me at ease.
But I especially love how he bleeds~

In all seriousness, that pleading, hesitant expression on his face is just beautifully real. Great work, Mr. Waltrip OwOb *makes off with Ashok’s corpse* Anyone know a good taxidermist who won’t ask too many questions?

Actually, I would legitimately be surprised if there is not at least ONE decent taxidermist at a cultist get-together. Barring that, I’m sure most orc, goblin, etc. taxidermists will not worry TOO much about it.

Tom Tom Tom… flagged for PvP means flagged for PvP.

Alternately: I remember in the Illuminati card game the conspiracies had alignments and their opposites: Conservative is the opposite of Liberal, Straight is the opposite of Weird, Peaceful is the opposite of Violent… and “Fanatic” is the opposite of “Fanatic”.
