      Hey – she fought Frigg to a standstill.

      But this looks like a chance for E’Merl to look good…

        That was before Frigg could summon her Smiting powers at will, then she got creamed. x3

          Yeah, but Frigg was already a badass the first time we ever saw her.

    Out of all people, and being a bumbling blind seer/monk/whatever unable to pick at anything…

    … she manages to pick just the one who once could out-glow–shit Frigg due to knowing all the “science” behind it?

    Though, since yesterday, I have a hunch she (Tamara) used to be a priest of Gigundus or something like that in the past.

    (Also, Tamara looks much like Robocop; Funny-looking, moves like a B-movie stop-motion prop, fails hard when dealing with lowly threats, but once starts kicking ass and taking names… he/she/it doesn’t stop)

    Lemme check…

    Tamara -> Rachel.
    Braggadocio -> Frigg
    Sundar -> WHAARGARBLron
    Rabbit -> Keynes
    Engie -> Sy’rnj (I’m going to do science to it)

    Who’s coming to be Gravy and “backup party” (Scipio and Emo’rl)’s counterparts?

      Rabbit -> Keynes

      Oh ? Really ? Frigg sent Braggadoccio flying like he was nothing, Byron disarmed Sundar and the Engie didn’t even show up yet.

        Don’t believe Acrox meant the Fightopoids were better, he just put them first in the counterparts column

        Frigg also sent Tamarand into orbit as well

        Oh, and it looks like Bunny-boy is Gravy’s counter, not Bandits

        Frigg sent Bragga like it was nothing.
        Bragga took the hit like it was nothing.

        I guess they’re game.

        Also, engie didn’t show up, but… come on. Who else brings science to a sword fight?

        (My poorly made comparision was more of a “Order of the Stick vs. Linear Guild”-like lineup)

        Also, now that I can see better… Whoa. Skullcap girl is ripped.

        My guess about her glowy, totally not-radioactive bones; Considering how almost suicidal her charges were so far and took almost no damage from a glowy shield bash while having nowhere close to Bragga’s girth, I guess she has the power of making her bones both nigh-indestructible and immovable if she chooses to do so. If that’s it, hugging the other team’s canned meat or spellcaster is a pretty good idea.

      Bragga can be seen launching Gravy into low orbit in the last page (possibly on collision course with the flying match factory).

      Perhaps Byron will be having a pillory Déjà vu quite soon.

        I think her problem was, she had to break her own momentum TWICE. Panel 2’s knee is fine, panel 3 twisting her body to punch is fine. But then she has to reverse her momentum in panel 4, the effort of which is evident in her clenched teeth. AND THEN SHE DOES IT AGAIN in panel 5, but since her left hook was so weak, her right punch was intercepted, pulling her off balance, and whoops, instant headlock.

        If Silver Skull is even half-trained, she should be doing terrible things to Rachel’s left arm and/or spine with her own right arm, maybe sink her stance a bit more, and knee or kick with Silver Skull’s right leg…

            Acutally, in real-life juijitsu, that grip she got on Rachel’s wrist was a great opportunity to do all kinds of nasty things. Oddly, a guillotine choke is not one of them. I really have no idea how that transition went down. I mean, I kind of get the gist of it, but it would require some hella strength advantage to overcome the poor leverage. Then again, look at dem muscles…

              Actually that transition seems to have been forced by the momentum of Rachel’s combo, it is not an optimal position for the blind-monk to be in. Rachel will be able to counterstrike in the next page, if she doesn’t the blind-monk will get into a less awkward hold then proceed to the beatdown town.

                It looks like Rachel tried to pull her fist back after she was put off balance and Tamara/blind monk simply kept her hand where it was to get Rachel’s face in a place where the guillotine choke would be easily executed. Sadly it’s a bad idea for Tamara since Rachel can monk-grasp her way out. Although i suspect that Tamara is thinking that Rachel is going to be choked out soon and is making sure that her surroundings are not comprimised.

    Think Tamra maybe another former sister. Rachel doesn’t recognize her because of the mask and Tamra has yet to hear a word from Rachel other than ‘HhKkkK!’

      I don’t think it’s glowing. I think we are getting a x-ray view of her bones (i.e. forearm and hip), which Rachel is contemplating breaking to escape the hold. Either that or it is an ability of the monk to “charge up” her bones and perhaps make them stronger and harder to break. Of these two possiblities, I’m sincerely hoping it’s the former.

      That’s because it’s sucking the glow out of Rachel’s hand. (BTW, you can also see the bones in her arm.)

    Why does the blind warrior keep turning her head towards where she is attacking? Can she actually see through the mask? Also, Rachel is barely better than Frigg with her smite powers(TM) on. What is she going to do against a trained martial artist?

      Ears face forwards too, you know. And the nose is on the front of the face. Lips are also rather sensitive to touch, so could potentially feel the vibrations in the air- and you can even taste ‘scents’, so having the mouth forwards makes sense as well…
