I ponder as to the identity Land Shark leader. I really want to know what he/she is like.

Whichever land shark shows up to the meeting is the leader that day.

Whichever Land Shark is closest to the meeting is probably the one that’s gonna go.

History shows that the League of Legends was a bold experiment, if ultimately unsuccessful.
Its later incarnation, the United Legends, has proven itself quite a force in global politics.

So…what was the point of that story? Quit while you’re ahead? Don’t go chasing waterfalls? Old people on medication like to tell pointless stories because they crave attention?

Setting up that the gnolls would be really interested in that wood elf bough of life or whatever it was called that could probably refertilize the land they conquered?

Well, Harky asked what she had to share concerning war, and she told him. They won the battle, but in the end it was for nothing.

        This.

She’s basically warning them not to go too far. Specifically, she’s telling them not to pick leaders who’ll bring both victory and ruin at the same time.

Unfortunately, they may already be part of the Savage Races’ War Council.

Possibly: don’t be so fixated on one enemy that you lose everything running after their shadow

If they “were ever seen or smelled again,” does that mean they’re always either seen or smelt again.

Just looking at his face I noticed that he can re-grow almost everything. He’s still missing half a tusk. Perhaps that just takes longer to regenerate?

Or maybe only able to re-grow what he had at the time he got those souped up powers (like poor Achilles in Grrl Power: at some time after he became an adult he developed the ability of imperviousness, he can not be harmed in any way shape or form, and that means he is forever DOOOOOOMED!!!! to sport a mullet for the rest of time)

the way i read it is the tusk isnt living tissue, at least not out where its been cut off. if the whole tusk were to be pulled out at the root, a new one would grow back.

I think it’s the difference between “damaged” and “removed.” Harky was always missing part of a tusk, I think. As for his ear, neither they nor pieces of his fingers grew back after Byron severed them (he wears that partial gauntlet thing now), but he healed from being pierced by his spear.

So the chapter’s title is “League of Legends”…

So the comic is shifting from a WoW-style fantasy adventure to the clash or armies focused on their leaders? ;-)
