Nope. Not me. She kinda looks like a young Debra Jo Rupp from that angle in the last panel (looking up at her face from under her chin), and Avians are well known to avoid any reference to That TV Show About the Decade Of 1970 – 1979.

Not gonna lie, with a bod like that, I’d have been pretty down to see HAMMERHEAD covered head to toe in oil. All muscly and strong-yet-sensitive-for-a-Landshark, just needing the right person to come along and tame his savage spirit . . .

Whew. What were we talking about? Something something Gastonians?

I’m going to go ahead and assume that a fair amount of time has passed since the last page. That, or Tectonicus has given Penk the ability to teleport.

They seemed to cross that big, wide-open slope directly underneath those airships without a problem.

“Should we bomb that giant shark and the one wearing the savage forces livery, that looks like he might be in a leadership position?” “Nah.”

It feels like we missed a page. It feels like we missed several. The last time Auraugu appeared (other than his feet, here, which I had to look hard for) was page 14. I had forgotten he was in this scene. Whiplash transitioning.

The fate of those blimp crews was too horrible to display, so they skipped it. Let’s just say it involved a catapult and HAMMERHEAD.

Seriously. They were at the rear of the army, in the last comic they were shown running along behind them, at LEAST a mile from the outpost, and one page later, POOF, they’re at the gates, ramming in the door?

I bet it’s a dream sequence. The bombs fell, Penk get knocked unconscious, and this is all a in his head.

It’s the only thing that makes sense.

Is this where we start to see the crossover with Sepia World? Bandit has never met Auraugu as far as I remember and her expression in the last panel makes me think she’s Shanna… though, if Fans! (and, well, her current predicament) is anything to go by, she probably isn’t playing.

So then who is Auraugu? Erm… HR maybe?
