I don’t think they have the power to do that.
By his own argument he’s already there – his shadow of a shadow is what’s stuck in this lower realm.
But a shadow is not the same thing as an object. He is merely a shadow of the form that is human. And the form of human is merely a shadow of…? I Am curious at what will happen when a shadow tries to exist where the light creating him comes from, but I’m gunna have to reread the idea of forms for any of this to make perfect sense.
Also, why does reading webcomics require such an abundance of philosophical references? I’m looking at you, “Strong Female Protagonist”
If he wants to get out of the Shadow Realm, I know a lot of out-of-work Yugioh villains that could probably swing that . . .

HR just thought “the cave” to its logical conclusion, in my opinion, given what he knows and what has happened.
But, his train of thought shows some problems, the biggest, in my opinion, is: How does he know, where this plane lies, and where there are just more shadows of shadows of shadows of ad infinit shadows?
Or is it one of the points of the inevitable change of view, to determine this direction?
And to clarify, HR uses what I see as a rethorical question at the end of this panel, which implies, that he would already know this, or at least presumes to.
So he knows the “real world” is an illusion (hence why everything is monochrome), and the world of our heroes is the real one. I wonder when they’re going to unveil the third one.

ooh, even better, perhaps he’s executing an extremely fast spin, but the refresh rate of the panels makes it appear as though it’s a slow spin. HR stands for Helicopter Rotor, I’m sure of it!

At the time this was actually taking place? No. A swift intervention to the nuts could have done a lot of good. But in the current, non-flashback timeline? Yeah, you need other methods to deal with him now.

Plato’s wall: if we’re looking at it we’re not only paralysed but sufficiently anaesthetised not be be able to detect our bodies or the space between us and the wall in any way. Escape doesn’t seem likely in such conditions.

Interestingly enough, the technique used to program nearly every video game these days, Object-Oriented Programming, reflects this Shadows of Shadows idea very neatly. Presumably Kingdoms of Arkerra was coded using this technique. Make of that what you will.
I wouldn’t call objects shadows of classes, and insofar as classes are related to reality at all I’d say they’re more ideals of reality than shadows of reality.
Maybe the programs are the objects and the reality we know is the shadows.

In so far as what is a shadow and what is the object… the ideas are the reality and the objects made as an attempt to actualise those ideas are the shadows. They are a poor imitation of the idealised purpose-medium that the ideas were.
