I will make a prediction that those towns folk will beg, plead and/or demand those same adventures they tossed out to show back up to save their back sides when the next disaster or attack comes down on them.
It’s the second time he has visited a pub. The first was in the sky elf city right before the end of the last chapter. We just don’t see them in the pub.
“Mechanical pulping does not remove the lignin, so the yield is very high, >95%, however it causes the paper thus produced to turn yellow and become brittle over time.” -Wikipedia
It’s referred to as “yellow journalism” because it’s the kind of work that got printed on the cheapest paper available, which was the high lignin stuff that would, at times, have started to yellow even before it reached the readers’ hands.
Better quality writers worked for better quality newspapers which paid for better quality paper because having all copies disintegrate within a week so nobody can prove what was written for the libel lawsuit wasn’t part of their business model. (An exaggeration, I know, but not by much.)
Good job bringing politics into it. Now we can all cherish that uncomfortable feeling in the pit of our souls that a slap-fight might start any second and ruin our collective weekends.
Anywho, it’s not like they printed anything factually wrong, just really inflammatory. That could be any paper ever in the entire history of the printing press. On the other hand, that looks like at least three different publications. Fox News can’t claim that kind of circulation. That and there should be something about the illegal migration of wood elves and the recent, dramatic downsizing of the military just as there is an massive uptick in domestic terrorism…
Hey, criticizing Fox News isn’t political. Since they are very clearly a news organization with no political bias at all (source: Fox News says so), any criticisms of Fox News are no more political than a criticism of any other media outlet.
So pointing out that Fox news actually rates higher than other news sources in poles about trustworthy reporting isn’t political ether. Also one could look at the Nelson ratings and note that some of those other chanels are losing viewers. Also one could note How MSNBC has been wrong several times in the last couple years with their jump to conclusion reports and not been forward with their corrections or redactions.
I can’t help it. Sundar is one of my new favorite characters. Just the awesomerest.
I mean, I KNOW Sundar’s an idiot, but he’s just so fundamentally good, and optimistic, and his instincts and intuition are off the scale, and…and…and… he’s like a big, deadly, metal plated friendly puppy.
This would be an easy prediction but I’ll say it anyway. I bet the cultists are behind all those news sheets to make the town’s folk turn against the Adventures to leave the town weak to their attacks.
The cultists, if they even predicted this, wouldn’t need to do a thing to make it happen. The chapter cover implies that this was planned by some of the Heads of Houses, including Mr. Bedard, the, uh, Head of Press, or something like that?
And now I’m reminded that the papers did indeed print several stories about Adventurers vs Cultists, so duh, of course people knew about it. Please disregard my comment below.
Maybe the Heads of Houses who planned this are cultists. They’d be the deluminati, working in secret to maintain the status quo, till the cult is ready to turn out all the lights.
The shining light of the Adventurers Guild must be snuffed out, lest they expose the cult’s dark secrets.
I’m surprised. I didn’t think the papers would even mention the cultists, nor that there would be public awareness about them. At least this should mean that when the Adventurers’ Guild start their long and arduous task of convincing people that they didn’t work with the cultists, they won’t have to start with explaining who the cultists are, or convincing people that they exist.
The cultists, not the people. Obviously the people know that they exist. The people, not the cultists.
Wait till Gravey finally snaps and goes all Lich King on their asses bringing the corporeal undead phenomenon to Arkerra and eventually the free willed undead. Then WAV has to fight the Death Metal Knight Payet to once and for all see who is the Best of the Bests.
Do I detect some salt?
Sick burn, E-Merl.
Yeah, in his stomach.
In his heart.
Hey, as long as it’s not the bladder.
In the 3rd degree.
What? You’ve never heard or described anyone as being “full of piss-n-vinegar?”
as long as its not the urethra?
Sounds like the crowd is calling for blood and banishment, on a happier note WAV got to visit a bar for the first time so thats… something.
I will make a prediction that those towns folk will beg, plead and/or demand those same adventures they tossed out to show back up to save their back sides when the next disaster or attack comes down on them.
and rorschach will wisper “no”
*whisper
It’s the second time he has visited a pub. The first was in the sky elf city right before the end of the last chapter. We just don’t see them in the pub.
Well, now that state support has waned it’s time for another Friggstarter. Pledge to Frigg’s new chikkin joint.
Haha, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines radio. Still remember those and the tv reports. Fun game.
The tenth person misunderstood the challenge, and tried friggin a chicken. He was rushed to the hospital when the little pecker pecked his pecker.
Too soon, E-Merl. Way too soon.
Probably exactly why he said it. He’s not coping well based on his body language.
what’re you talking about? don’t you see that big grin? hes /fine/
The affected are allowed to be early.
Good to know that yellow journalism is alive and thriving on Arkerra.
“Mechanical pulping does not remove the lignin, so the yield is very high, >95%, however it causes the paper thus produced to turn yellow and become brittle over time.” -Wikipedia
That’s… not even remotely what “yellow journalism” means, yet somehow still oddly relevant.
Snake keeps telling them about the Patriots, man, but they just won’t listen.
Snake Pliscum? I heard he was dead!
Not hardly.
But he HAS taken an arrow to the knee…In two different movies, no less.
Fox news strikes again.
Good job bringing politics into it. Now we can all cherish that uncomfortable feeling in the pit of our souls that a slap-fight might start any second and ruin our collective weekends.

Fox news is just open about what they present unlike all the other alphabet soup news channels.
So pointing out that Fox news actually rates higher than other news sources in poles about trustworthy reporting isn’t political ether. Also one could look at the Nelson ratings and note that some of those other chanels are losing viewers. “On account of the papers tellin’ how that fancy new adeventurer’s guild of yours turned out to be workin’ with the cultists.”
Unless I missed something that seems to be pretty factually wrong.
That’s why they call it “breaking news”.
This was suppose to be a response to kenneth.
More like MSNBC they tend to get the affiliations wrong.

A giant metal-plated friendly puppy that kidnapped children for some airship pirates, but we’ve all got faults, right?

That’s actually what Sundar would say :)
