The head/ratio seems off but the perspective makes it tricky. Did he curse her to be weak or small? That would make for interesting character development…
It’s called “foreshortening”, Grenaid. The representation of a figure in a drawing of less than true proportional length in order to give to the eye the impression of it’s three-dimensionality, depth and distance.
Her head in larger because it’s closer to us, and her feet are smaller because they’re farther away.
Well, I dunno. Frigg is already basically an unfettered ball of rage and asskicking 95% of the time. Odds on her sucking up the curse, shrugging, and continuing her epithet-laden beatdown of the ambushers?
If it had been any other cultist, then yeah. She’d shrug it off and not even miss a beat.
But it occurred to me to day that this neo-god HR she’s standing against. He has to show how much of a bad@$$ he is by showing he can whip Frigg. A.K.A The Worf Effect
Yeah, but warriors all have “Shake It Off!” as an ability, which removes stun and cures numerous conditions on the warrior (and their allies), so Frigg’ll be fine. ;)
You know, I thought Ulak was shaking that lock box, but I think the box or something inside is shaking it, and Ulak is trying to hold it still. This will not turn out well.
Ya, I’ve been assuming it was, like, a berserk squirrel or badger or something. A figurative plague rat. HR going for a knockout punch before it gets let loose is one way to tilt the odds in favor of the little rabid critter landing a hit.
And this thought reminds me again of Wolfgang Hohlbein’s Schattenjagd (Shadow Hunt, 1996) in which a computer game becomes “too real” after a boy hacks a city mainframe to play it more efficiently. At one point, he has his character yell “Michael Jackson for President” to enable god mode. This, of course, only earns him the mistrust of his NPC companions.
I foresee mystically people potentially having a conversation somehwat like this in the future:
“Within our leader there is a struggle between two spirits, one of justice and the other destruction.”
“Suppress the one of a nature most vicious, of claw and tooth foreboing and of action ferocious.”
“No, see, that’s why I’m having so much trouble here, they both look exactly like that.”
An extremely powerful being with an unusual amount of knowledge about players and a desire to kill them… Crikey! He’s worst then a god! HR is a Dungeon Master!!!! ;-)
I hate storylines where my fav hero becomes possessed or has a mind transfer w/ a villain, etc. Frigg is my fave (Bandit a close #2) here. Byron getting demonized bothered me, but it will break my little nerd heart for Frigg to get the same. I like Mordecai’s theory – GO WAV SAVE!
I don’t see the problem. From Wikipedia:
Mung or munge is computer jargon for a series of potentially destructive or irrevocable changes to a piece of data or a file.[1] It is sometimes used for vague data transformation steps that are not yet clear to the speaker.[2] Common munging operations include removing punctuation or html tags, data parsing, filtering, and transformation.[2]
AND THAT’S THE ONLY THING IT MEANS. ONLY ONLY ONLY!
I’m so happy for the people who didn’t take the advice of the alt-text, and their newfound gag reflex trigger / mind-breaker that they will have to wrestle with for years! You’ll build so much character through this process! Happy emotional roller coaster! :-D
I just got here today, and I wouldn’t have bothered to look it up except for the alt text. I can’t argue with the disclaimer therein, but DANG do I wish I had never learned what this meant.
I thought there was something familiar about H.R’s spell, and I just now realized that “hecta” sounds kind of like a portmanteau of “Hextor” and “Vecna”.
So who was that guy? It didn’t look like HR or the jar carrier, but I didn’t expect a random cultist to be packing that kind of fire power.
Er now that I got a few more looks in I think I can make out the mustache. I’m still not sure, but HR was tagged so I suppose that must have been him.
He knows all the cheat codes.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACKS!!!!!!!!
It was HR. See his moustache in third panel while he’s charging up his hadouken of mindfuck.
does not refer to mung beans i suppose
I dated a girl who referred to any food to she considered unappetizing as mung.
The head/ratio seems off but the perspective makes it tricky. Did he curse her to be weak or small? That would make for interesting character development…
No, he cursed her to look like a “Simpsons” character.
So, only four fingers on each hand, and a horribly tiny mandible?
It’s called “foreshortening”, Grenaid. The representation of a figure in a drawing of less than true proportional length in order to give to the eye the impression of it’s three-dimensionality, depth and distance.
Her head in larger because it’s closer to us, and her feet are smaller because they’re farther away.
I think perhaps the hands could have needed more foreshortening to emphasize it.
Mama’s little baby loves foreshortening, -shortening…
I see magnificent use of Kirby Dots there … I always like a liberal sprinkling of kirby dots …
How better to showcase the power of a new god than with Kirby dots?
Fool! I command the Power Cosmic!
Wow, Frigg really took a licking from that cultist.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
God modded NPCs are always game killers.
They’re pretty good a killing characters too…
Things are about to get really ugly…

She’s clearly a guardian though, and those are pretty mediocre at condition removal aside from meditations.
Frigg doesn’t strike me as a Taylor Swift fan.
We created a monster.

It’s one of the ‘Zerkhounds.
Sorry.
Well, I’ve heard of armor piercing spells, but faith-magic shattering spells are a impressive upgrade.
That’s a cheat code, right?

You want “real” games? Check out “Caverns of Socrates”. It’s basically this story, but from a pre-video game perspective.
Goodbye Frigg. Hello, Frigganator
Frigg looks so hot right now!
No. No. YOU ARE NOT TAKING HER, YOU BASTARD!
angry bear will be angry about this.
I foresee mystically people potentially having a conversation somehwat like this in the future:

HAH!!
Brilliant!
An extremely powerful being with an unusual amount of knowledge about players and a desire to kill them… Crikey! He’s worst then a god! HR is a Dungeon Master!!!! ;-)
Top panel, “It’s very satisfying…” should be “Frigg IN ‘high spirits'”.
Also, poor adventurers. :/
Thanks for the spot.
Wild guess: WAV, being from the same world as the “rage demon”, will know how to defeat/counteract it.
Looks like Frigg’s spirits crashed and burned. She should try booze next.
Either I’m the only one who took the schmuck bait (unlikely), or everyone else who did is trying to forget ever doing so.

It is also a type of bean!

It looks like he’s using hex code. What color is that blast, violet/magenta? I guess that means Frig’s F00CED.
If I could upvote your comment I would. :-D
Feel the the power of the bearded Mod God.
I thought there was something familiar about H.R’s spell, and I just now realized that “hecta” sounds kind of like a portmanteau of “Hextor” and “Vecna”.
Soooooo, probably a healing spell?
Healing you of your sanity.
