So who was that guy? It didn’t look like HR or the jar carrier, but I didn’t expect a random cultist to be packing that kind of fire power.

Er now that I got a few more looks in I think I can make out the mustache. I’m still not sure, but HR was tagged so I suppose that must have been him.

The head/ratio seems off but the perspective makes it tricky. Did he curse her to be weak or small? That would make for interesting character development…

It’s called “foreshortening”, Grenaid. The representation of a figure in a drawing of less than true proportional length in order to give to the eye the impression of it’s three-dimensionality, depth and distance.

Her head in larger because it’s closer to us, and her feet are smaller because they’re farther away.

I think perhaps the hands could have needed more foreshortening to emphasize it.

Well, I dunno. Frigg is already basically an unfettered ball of rage and asskicking 95% of the time. Odds on her sucking up the curse, shrugging, and continuing her epithet-laden beatdown of the ambushers?

If it had been any other cultist, then yeah. She’d shrug it off and not even miss a beat.

But it occurred to me to day that this neo-god HR she’s standing against. He has to show how much of a bad@$$ he is by showing he can whip Frigg. A.K.A The Worf Effect

Ya, I’ve been assuming it was, like, a berserk squirrel or badger or something. A figurative plague rat. HR going for a knockout punch before it gets let loose is one way to tilt the odds in favor of the little rabid critter landing a hit.

    That’s a cheat code, right?

And this thought reminds me again of Wolfgang Hohlbein’s Schattenjagd (Shadow Hunt, 1996) in which a computer game becomes “too real” after a boy hacks a city mainframe to play it more efficiently. At one point, he has his character yell “Michael Jackson for President” to enable god mode. This, of course, only earns him the mistrust of his NPC companions.

I foresee mystically people potentially having a conversation somehwat like this in the future:
“Within our leader there is a struggle between two spirits, one of justice and the other destruction.”
“Suppress the one of a nature most vicious, of claw and tooth foreboing and of action ferocious.”
“No, see, that’s why I’m having so much trouble here, they both look exactly like that.”

I hate storylines where my fav hero becomes possessed or has a mind transfer w/ a villain, etc. Frigg is my fave (Bandit a close #2) here. Byron getting demonized bothered me, but it will break my little nerd heart for Frigg to get the same. I like Mordecai’s theory – GO WAV SAVE!

I don’t see the problem. From Wikipedia:
Mung or munge is computer jargon for a series of potentially destructive or irrevocable changes to a piece of data or a file.[1] It is sometimes used for vague data transformation steps that are not yet clear to the speaker.[2] Common munging operations include removing punctuation or html tags, data parsing, filtering, and transformation.[2]

AND THAT’S THE ONLY THING IT MEANS. ONLY ONLY ONLY!
