      Cats never think things through.

This why i have found my cat with front paws on one side of a gap between chairs and back paws on the other, trying very hard to project an air of “Hey – this is what I meant to do when I tried to get to that light-weight chair on the hardwood floor that slid away…”

Not true. Power of a god comes from acknowledgement and ritual. Many of us fuel them to be quite powerful, and the Pantheon of Meme Gods only continues to grow as internet legends are created.

I recently wondered that weekdays are kinda ‘New Gods’ now:
Monday is universally reviled and viewed as a curse, the Devil made Day.
Regard gradually increases as the week progresses, with Friday as the Messiah, the Ender of Slavery, Saturday the cool Bacchus-type dude, and Sunday as the perfect being that you never want to let go.

Days of the week are all named for old gods. Sun and moon are especially obvious. Tyr, Odin, Thor, and Freya from Norse mythology. And Roman Saturn. Not that any of you like, didn’t know this already.

@Nathanyel – My fellow fandom dude/dudette (not knows your genders, scratch the false one) You obviously did not consider the gastronomy jobs – they have it aaaallll quite opposite. Dude, the Taverns from all of Fantasy worlds we came to Know and LOVE, become a hellish tornado of chaos during the weekend – the barkeepers and the rest of the restaurant/pub/tavern staff at some point, every weekend, are so busy, tired and confused from this usual, weekly regular siege executed by customers, they WISH and CRY OUT for it to be over.
I assure you, there’s nothing so sweet and glorious than a boring, slow, and, unfairly, generally not appreciated Monday.

TLDR note: Pub, restaurants, etc. work hardest on weekend and these days are the worst for their staff. Different people, different situations on same days. It all depends on their lifestyle.

With the line “Forgotten by most, changed by others” on page 21, it could be possible that screaming red cube-face is Tectonicus, in some form. Graiya could be either the lizard or green-Mc-Frowny.

Interestingly, if you go all the way back to chapter 18, the font/style they used for Graiyas’ decree is similar to both Rage Wolf and this cat gods’ text design- the font they used is actually almost the exact color that Green McFrowny is, which seems to be the convention when these entities speak.

1: Frigg’s gonna be pissed when she finds out the glowy armorshit is permanent.
2: I strongly suspect now, after seeing all this, that Frigg is based on someone I know. That’s a little weird.
3: W.E.O. “, everyone’s cutest “I know the future” elf is gonna have fun with her, oh boy. Or contrariwise. How can you tell the future of someone who automatically defies every expectation, even the expectation of defiance? Just…never tell them their future? Gah….

Permanent? Nah, she’ll power down and find herself standing naked in a freezing cold cavern with no way out. Afterall she did shatter her previous set of armor when it she got the power, and ahe was complaining about freezing her tits off, and it was heavily implied (by a party member) that she’s wearring nothing under her armor.

Dunno about you, Frigg, but I’m just getting more questions than answers from this.

Mostly rhetorical but I’ll brainspew anyway.

Why would the gods not see this coming, but the puny little winter elves can foresee something a thousand times before it happens? Also, why have we not heard of ANY of these gods until now other than Insanity Wolf? What do they do now that Insanity Wolf is gone; who takes his place since Frigg said no? Do they settle for someone lesser or leave the cubicle empty? Might she maybe want some sort of godly powers to help in her quests of “doing”? (I mean, she is right, she already was being/doing, so I guess not, but maybe?) Why are these gods all cooped up in a hole in the ground in the icy mountain wastelands?
Does she get to keep the godly glowyshit even though she said no? Will the other peacemakers believe her when she tells them about this? WILL she even tell them about it or shrug it off when asked and say meh?! :O

A couple of possibilities to consider…

      1. The Five have, in ways, molded Arkerra to fit their own conceptions. H.R. once commented that the berserker curse didn’t exist until Byron needed it for his backstory. Given everything else about Frigg, the odds that her player was a shitposting memelord seem pretty high; in which case it’s basically guaranteed that all of these gods are her subconscious creation in the first place. Defying and denying them would then be rebellion against herself, or more specifically against a coping mechanism she doesn’t want to hide behind anymore: personal growth via raw symbology. So of course she gets to keep the glowyshit, it was hers in the first place and fuck those guys anyway.

      2. Even if that’s not the case, why assume the 4chantheon is being completely straight with her? Like you said, if the winter elves can forsee it, why can’t the gods? It’s a perfectly reasonable assumption that they do know exactly where this is leading, and that’s their goal. H.R. is busy apotheosizing; having someone around who can beat up gods might be a good idea, no?

      Hehe. 4chantheon. Proud of myself.

Is it just me, or is this ‘cat-god’ really annoying and deserving of a trashing that makes what happened on the previous pages look like a friendly scuffle?

Mad-wolf-god more-or-less knew what Frigg was about and I would not be surprised if he pissed her off on purpose to see how good a fight she’d give him. If he won he’d have fun, if she won, she’d take the position of Alpha and he could retire to putz about if he felt like it. This one is just condescending.

        Frigg seems to think so.

I’ve also thought that some forms of godhood are pretty shit when you look at them. Being a Shinto god of a few pebbles or a stream is a pretty shit job. And if you die as a god just because people lack enough devotion, then it’s not really much of a godhood.

Also, these gods are memes. So there’s that.

This page made me feel those feels you get when you are reading or seeing something so awesome, complete and at the same time a little obvious, but with this fresh feeling. This is how using your imagination during the creative process should be done – and well, I can’t emphasize it strong enough.

Dialogue, character reacting so much “like her”, the whole situation taking place on, like, you know, SERIOUS END GAME GOD – TIER HIGHEST POWER AND WISDOM creatures! With Frigg being so REBEL and not stubborn, not firm in her beliefs, but actually she’s essentially acting true to her very NATURE! As in instinctively, like a programmed response – she has important stuff to her, and she is focused on her own agenda. Strong enough not to be manipulated off her goals and desires, no matter the means used for the obviously not-enough-power attacks for the almighty walls of Frigg’s castle of unwavering stability of thought.

For the analysis of this scene (or page, poe-tay-to = po’ta’to) to be complete, however, this situation has been influenced by Frigg’s FLAWS, that are CRUCIAL to the personality of the character, and I gotta say – it kind of made this situation fantastically working in harmony, by design or spark of spontaneous brilliance. Look – Frigg’s strength comes from being absolutely sure and confident, but also a process that I observed, that had to become a complex reflex combining a couple of not so easy to see components. Even if she doesn’t really realize it that this either became one of her charcteristics in time, or was a basic piece of her being, a part of her mind’s structure from the start, obvious to her like colors and tastes. She realized that she, or any person, can choose, and nobody can tell you to think differently, or force you to change. Such realization, coupled with high empathy, can wreck a person’s character, philosophy, or even sanity, if coupled with enough pain and suffering.

Because if everybody realized this, that having respect for yourself and your choice makes you happy, and shows that it is innefficient to fight, compared to teamwork. Even no action is better than a destructive, negative one – zero is not a minus, stable is therefore good.

So, to add her simplistic straightforward approach, bordering on blindness to more complex situations and concepts, to the mix of experience and focus, exceptionally strong will, but also (not so obvious) good heart, empathy, and love, that being perceived by Frigg as a sign of weakness, in excessive act and show of power, is the reason that made her angry, resentful in heart, not even realizing that she is angry at the STUPIDITY of the majority of the intelligent creatures – but she does not need to know that, so her brain chooses to see it differently. To make it easier, and better.

She automatically rejects any manipulation, efforts to control her, tries to dictate her a way of thinking, or sway her beliefs – not emotions, of course, but choices, plans, her way.

She’s easily angered, but not swayed. Doesn’t give a fuck, as long as you don’t try to change or control her.

And this scene combines EVERYTHING about her character – all flaws, strengths, and an idea made into a part of her nature, an evolved beautifully, graceful order of events combined with some thoughts and lessons of life, like an epic COMBO of psychological construction.

Fuck, i have smile dhow perfectly it is the page that screams “100% Frigg”, not swayed by even higher powers, so focused on her own path that even godhood won’t get in the way!

    Whoa, THAT’S A LOOOONG POST o.o
