Honestly, my first thought was that the sweat should be freezing on his fur, then I remembered the oil content in sweat makes it more difficult to sweat.
Then I started to question whether or not hyenas even have sweat glands, since both dogs and cats seem to lack them.
After a bit of searching on the funland that is hyena biology, I decided to just go with it.
Since Auraugu is a human/animal hybrid in a fantasy universe, all bets are off.
The adventurers have not yet reached regions where bodily fluids immediately freeze. If that were so, the air travellers would have been even worse off. Up in the sky, the temperatures are more forbidding than down on earth.
See now, commenters above want to see fights between various warriors. What we really need is a battle of the smoking paraphinalia. We’ve got Goblaurence and Scipio, and who knows who else. I’d bet at least somebody in this comic has been seen with a pipe. (The civilians of B’ial Vezk were also seen smoking, but that doesn’t count.)
I like how there’s littI think that second panel says a lot about both Syr’Nj and Frigg’s characters: Syr’Nj is using the skills she honed playing with the Houses — it’s obvious nobody is in any shape to fight, but she acts like they are. And it looks like once Frigg made the decision that helping the Champions against whatever we’re calling the digital monster was the right thing to do that meant that they’re good people. It says that she chooses who is right to protect and to smite, not external factors. Which fits nicely with the Wolf’s gifts to her and her reaction to berserkerdom.
I wonder if there’s meant to be a visual correlation of the two sets of five in the first and second panels. I can see Auraugu and Best both being the arrogant boasters, and Magda and Frigg both use the divine smite technique. And Syr’nj and Penk are both the leaders. I don’t see the correlation between Goblaurence and Byron or Gravedust and Rana though
Well… When there is a weather like that, having a priest of Tectonicus nearby is certainly very… handy.
Quite a… heartwarming reunion.
Magda sure know how to break the ice.
warms the soul
Gets you all… fired up.
A good time to cool off from the heat of battle.
Dig, what we need is a cage match between Best and Hammerhead, what a couple of assssssholessss!
Together, they make a jackhammer.
HA! Perfect avatar for the perfect follow-up. :D
Anyone else shipping Best/Hammerhead?
It seems I’m the only one who seriously likes Best. Come on, that guy’s pure rock’n’roll… that attitude is a build-in feature!
It hard for me to like some who goes that far out of their way trying to be stupid.
They’re trying not to start a fight and Magda is already crying uncle.
And yet again, Best manages to save the day, despite his own efforts.
“We seek no battle, so let us help one of your number recover from the cold.”\
That’s a good start.
It was very warmhearted of them.
The original five are all impressive in their own way, but I want to see Auraugu spar with the Best among them.
It would be fun to see Best get his ass kicked for once.
It would be fun to see Best get his head bitten off for once and for all.
Sadly, history proved that it never sticks.
Maybe not, but in the meantime, someone could stick his head up his…
Actually, it already seems to be there. Never mind.
I personally just love the way he seems to be casually toweling off, like he just got out of the pool because company came by.
Well, he’s been propelling the airship forward by pedaling. He’s toweling off sweat.

I really need to take five seconds to read what I write before sending.

Hyes.
Yes, of course the first thing that Goblaurence does is lighting his cigar! I like that.
I don’t think Gobularence smokes tobacco, but he’ll certainly be a lot mellow when he’s done.

Chapter 15.
That is all.

Nicely said!
Damn it, Magda…
They should trade the dingus for Magda.
Are you in league with the Altruists? Because I can see no better way to screw up the ex-Peacemakers and Champions’ burgeoning peace…
“I WILL BATTLE YOU ALL UNTIL YOU PASS OUT”
“…I told you, later“
“I, Best, will KNOCK YOU ALL DOWN!”
I would crown you with a garland for that reference.
And then she sets her uncle on fire.

So…Gastonia is the enemy now? About time! For the horde!
Magda, while you’re on the ground, you might wanna heat up some rocks for everyone to put in their pockets.
