I remember reading a thread on the League of Legends boards back when I played that game from a guy who was so upset over his banned League of Legends account, he drove to Riot Games headquarters and broke in to the building to try and plead his case. This reminds me of that guy.
I don’t know about that. Like 99% of people are more-or-less masculine or feminine in gender (male and female being sexes), but people are rarely *explicit* in their gender.
More like 99.9%, and probably higher than that, but hey, we already significantly altered foundational structures of our society for < 5%, why not do the same for less than 0.1%.
On the contrary, if one subscribes to the belief that all one’s time can be measured in terms of earning potential… then the fair bit of time and effort it takes to reprogram one’s habits to cater to the sensitive feelings of an absolutely minuscule proportion of people would actually cost a fair bit.
And as long as feelings are being considered here… more people are being villainised for going about their business unaware of these sorts of changes than are being hurt by them doing so.
It is about damned time people re-learned how to distinguish between those who go out of their way to condemn and those who simply haven’t been involved at all.

Given, I am sure some amount of the intersex individuals will chose to identify as clearly male or female despite having the genitals of the other gender, but if you accept that, then you must also accept that some non-intersex people will identify as a gender that doesn’t match their genital configuration.

I think if we agree on anything it’s that we need representation for everyone, because it’s EASY to give everyone representation. It’s doing it right that’s harder. You don’t have to pay money to make a character in your rpg nonbinary. In fact, often people like me are deterred because there’s no incredibly simple third gender option in RPGs. Just get some nonbinary characters and they’ll be like evrey other characters because they’re still human, they just belong to a minority.
That’s how representation works. It’s not incredibly hard
