    This…just….wow.

I actually admire Syr’nj for this. Gut-reaction admire. Beautifully written, well done.

And, because I can’t let the geek in me stay silent about this, that’s one HELL of a Diplomacy score.

Diplomacy is great, but all the more awesome when following awesome motivation.

Yeah, you gotta love that Diplomacy Score. Now here’s hoping she didn’t flub her Sense Motive.

Maybe Syr’nj or Byron should say something like, “We aren’t done paying YOU back, yet.”

    I dunno.

Yeah, Bandit seems to be all up in Gravy’s personal space. I get the impression they may be having the conversation on the down low and so closeness is necessary; but he looks old enough to be her grandfather. I wonder if he goosed her. It would explain the puckered expression… well that or the tense situation (but I’m leaning toward dwarf grabiness).

    FRIENDSHIP SPEECHES *awesomeface*

Why is Bandit so chummy with all these guys already? It doesn’t feel like ‘Gnomish playfulness,’ I’ll tell ye.
And heh hee, Frigg… her every act belies her true opinions.

Lighting in the comic continues to astound. I don’t want to take it for granted, not ever.

I think Bandit’s all chummyquick ‘cuz she’s a total fangirl who’s been following them around from the beginning for entertainment value, and now that they’re hangin’ she’s all BFF an’ shiznit.

Retolling the bell for Erica’s brilliant lighting effects. Most comics’ version of a night scene would have them trying to slip away under cover of afternoon in the biggest wagon in the shire.

You know, Byron may be the one calling out the orders during the battle…

But I consider Syrn’j to be just as much if not more the “leader” of the group. She’s the one seeing the bigger picture than Byron so far in my book.

Though Byron fills in as this too, the term coined by TVtropes (which I hesitate to bring up because I recall it not being well liked) is ‘Team Mom”. And seeing as Syr’nj’s goals are the reconciling of whole *species*, it does seem likely she’s looking at a bigger scale/picture than Byron.

It’s not that TVtropes is not well liked around here. It’s just that, personally, I don’t see the fun in trying to fit every detail of a story into pre-determined categories from a reader standpoint.

Isn’t it more fun to just take in the story as it is and form your own opinions?

It’s like being around that guy in the theater who shouts “DON’T GO IN THAT ROOM, THE KILLER’S IN THERE!” Of course he’s in there. It’s not about the surprise, it’s about the suspense.

        Maybe that’s just me.

At the same time, though, sometimes it’s just fun enough to fill in wikis! So, we’re happy to be on there if that means you guys are having fun with it/us.

Sometimes you like a certain sorta thing.
Sometimes you like to know about other stuff that has that sort of thing in it.
TVTropes is great marketing that way.
I’ve come across a lot of good webcomics thanks to inclusion on TVTropes.
