Regardless, I can’t hate the Champions, or even the Rebel army, for their jubilation in that fantastic semi-symmetrical final frame. (Even Goblaurence is very nearly smiling.) War’s hell, and winning with far fewer casualties than you expected is like getting two wins at once.
And as a bonus, maybe they even killed the Peacemakers this time, though Penk knows better than to assume that after the way the Death Pit worked out.

Strange that you should make a MASH reference. That last panel reminds me of the final scene in the GI Joe opening after they bring down that massive Cobra airship and stand around posing triumphantly. Yo Techtonicus!
A reminder they definitely killed a bunch of people in that hospital. It is a victory for the Rebel but reinsures they are the enemy to everyone else.
