Annotated 37-24
Having realized that her own behavior is one of the problems besettingher team, Syr’Nj summons her best self here, and even in these dire circumstances, her best self is a force to be reckoned with.
And it definitely helps that Syr and Sundar have Byron’s memory to bond over.
More symmetry, this time between Sundar and Scipio, who fill somewhat similar roles on the team. Both of them have had relatively quiet arcs, often supporting others’ noisier ones, even though Sundar is a much noisier person than Scipio. And the two arcs have ultimately taken them in opposite directions: Scipio out of the fold, Sundar in.
Sundar was always a more interesting/relatable character than Scipio, just because of his flaws.
The first time around, it never registered with me that Sundar became officially part of the team instead of a hanger-on, I think. This probably coincides with a time that I didn’t follow the story too closely.
What a powerful moment with just the perfect words to drive it home. Good job T and Flo.
