Axemas Sketch 2014
This was one of two holiday sketches that John produced as sort of a break within a break: they ran during the Axemas special for 2014, directly on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, letting us feel like we’d met our obligations but giving us all a bit more time to focus on loved ones for the holiday.
It was the last Christmas I spent before getting serious with the woman who’d become my wife, but my brother and parents still made it a time to remember fondly. Present-opening on the couch, just like when we were kids. Way too many cookies, just a bit of eggnog, and an actually hearty breakfast.
