That is to say, “mutually inclusive” doesn’t mean “may include eachother” but rather means “must include eachother”. However, looking at this, it is just a matter of symantics. Often times I’d see similiar ‘discrepencies’ when learning math from different sources. So yeah, I definitely see what Ahdok means. Although a fairly standardized body of terminology is a good thing in general (as is the case for math), the only important requirement is that one properly define the terms in question and that everyone agrees on the meanings of the specific terms within the context. The word ‘orthognal’ there is pretty useful in this regard though: I find it hard to confuse its meaning when I visualize the three dimensions of space and recall that they are “orthogonal” to eachother.

I actually have a big blank skin parchment in my room right now, wairing for me to ink a big fantasy map onto it. It used to be a sheep.
Also, goat skin. “vellum” as a term specifically refers to lamb skin, I believe, but it’s come to be used to describe all animal skin “paper”.
Vellum is derived from the same latin word that gives you “veal” in English. Draw your own conclusions.
I think vellum’s relation to calf skin is just an etymological artifact, and it mostly refers to a grade of parchment, not the animal the skin came from (which could be cow, sheep, or goat).
According to this article by the US national archives, Vellum is calfskin parchment, and parchment can be made of other mammal skin.

I’d tend to agree, but Byron seems to be back in a space where he could accept leadership and Bandit seems to be wanting to show her worth as part of the original group.

What, that is supposed to be “Gravedust” in some kind of frigg-en handwriting?! When I read the comic, all I could make out was a “T” at the end – I assumed that she had written “Bandit” and then blacked it out for some reason.
Well, the votes make perfect sense: the teams both vote for their long standing leaders: Bandit’s group for Bandit (with the exception of Rachel), and Byron’s group for Byron (with the exception of Frigg).
Also important to note that Byron’s team doesn’t blame him for the whole TPK thing.

Nah, it’s just an artifact of how the programmers designed the equipment system. Everything has a designated slot that gets used. Main hand weapons, off-hand shields, etc. etc. There are some variations programmed in based on character class, and some item types can be used in multiple ways. Like daggers, quite versatile. Main hand for several classes, off-hand for a few others, and some can even be stacked as throwing weapon ammo.
Oh yeah, it’s pretty easy to forget this is taking place in a game world sometimes.

They’re all players, just some of them are plugged in at Hurricane, while Bandit, Rachel, Scip & E-Merl aren’t.
This is confirmed info by the way, some time after Bandit discovered Aurauga was trying to steal Graiya’s Bough, we’ve got HR saying one of the non-embedded players was the one to discover that.
Chapter 19, page 19 is the page where HR confirms that Bandit is indeed a player. The other ones aren’t actually confirmed, but it’s a safe assumption to say that they too are non-embedded players.

I really like this scene, particularly the shots of who each person chose. I mean, sure, there are the obvious ones, but the others are very much a look into where everyone’s heads are currently at. For instance, while Gravedust has clearly shown approval of Byron in the past pre-serker, I honestly did not expect Gravedust to be Frigg’s choice.
Working through the archives so I doubt anyone will see this but am I the only one who thought Scorpio had some kind of badass super pipe in the first panal

I just have to say. I really like that Frigg chose Gravedust.
I think that Frigg recognizes that a hothead like her or a berzerking Byron wouldn’t make a great leader. She respects Gravy’s wisdom, but doesn’t recognize that wisdom does not necessarily equate to front line leadership.
Gravy has proved that he can lead, but I think his leadership is best suited to planning battles, not necessarily to giving orders in the heat of battle. Bandit and level-headed Byron are best suited for thinking on their feet.
