Play it while you have either a Dragon Gate, Quicksilver Amulet or Aether Vial on the field, that way you can still summon creatures! :D They don’t count as spells so the Enchantment doesn’t affect it. x3 I did that once to counter a (can only cast one spell/first spell is always countered) combo someone pulled against me, I was just lucky that I had that on the field. x3
Also depends on the scabbard: if you look at most of the effective RL versions, they are either made with very soft/supple leather, or no ‘scabbard’ at all, just a hoop at the top and bottom
The people who did it conventionally had this slit along one end of the scabbard that let them slide the sword our in a smooth half-circle motion as opposed to trying to pull it out straight up. :3
Woodcuts show them being carried bare resting on the shoulder. We have no evidence for them being carried on the back, or for that matter, having scabbards at all. (Not to mention greatswords, a term which I assume you are using in the modern sense, would be the most difficult to actually pull from a scabbard, back or otherwise.)
Frigg vs. Bragg. Two of the physically strongest characters, if not THE strongest, in the comic are about to clash. I am quite excited to see how they handle this.
On another note, I think most of Fightopia will be more or less okay with Sundar’s kidnapping dealings. They formed Fightopia because being an adventurer or soldier in Gastonia sucks, after all, so Sundar being desperate enough to sell info to kidnappers is the proverbial proof in the pudding.
Yes, but wouldn’t Brag have a +2 to being hit, and a -2 to evade in enclosed spaces?
Seems to put him at a disadvantage to Frigg who wouldn’t suffer penalties from ENORMOUS girth!
Bragg dumped his Dexterity in favor of high Constitution, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was using some kind of feat or talent that gives him benefits for taking damage.
FIRST…TO SAY EXTERMINATE THE FURRY EARTH CREATURE.
Man. Rabbit’s form is just AWFUL.
Guess that’s why he missed.
What was he even aiming at? An industrious delusional illustrious disillusioned illusionist?

yeah it is kinda terrible
So it’s stronger than ‘Enchanted Bunny’?

Timmi gets a tag. Such a bright day.
Anyone who thinks carrying your sword on your back should try drawing one out of its scabbard on said back…
*thinks carrying your sword on your back is a good idea…
Depends on the length and shape of the sword. Works great with an Arkansas Toothpick, although that’s generally considered a knife.
Also depends on the scabbard: if you look at most of the effective RL versions, they are either made with very soft/supple leather, or no ‘scabbard’ at all, just a hoop at the top and bottom

Generally speaking, nobody did it “conventionally”. It’s a modern fantasy.
Same as Knights in Shining Armour and the completely Mythical (not to mention madeup) “Golden Age of Chivilry”
Greatswords were a real thing, historically. How were they actually carried when not in combat — which is to say, most of the time?
Woodcuts show them being carried bare resting on the shoulder. We have no evidence for them being carried on the back, or for that matter, having scabbards at all. (Not to mention greatswords, a term which I assume you are using in the modern sense, would be the most difficult to actually pull from a scabbard, back or otherwise.)
Swords have scabbards? I thought they just magically stuck to your back (or hovered a few inches from it).
Last pannel, I hope it’s not the real E-Merl or he’s gonna be the ham of some nasty slamwich.
The way he’s looking behind him at Frigg, he’s hoping that as well :P
Maybe if he stepped backwaaards, behind that tree?
The battlefield is 3 dimensional
Z minus ten thousand meters, Mr. Sulu!
So does anyone else think it’s weird that Brag is the first on the scene?
Not really, the big question should be: where are the others at all?
maybe they were running downhill?
Epic battle foreshadow: Frigg vs Fatty
I don’t think Brag is aware of the pain he is about to experience.
Call of Nutty: Rodent Warfare
Rabbit vs Squirrel! FIGHT!!
“Place your bets here folks! Carrots and nuts accepted as currency (payment will be in the same)!”
Loving how Rachel is running to E`Mo’s aid (but why is she carrying her Ruler in the crook of her elbow instead of safely in her hand/belt?)
Took 2nd or 3rd read to notice Bandit and Fringe sneaking behind Bunny Boy :D
I think the Ruler is swinging from her belt. Er. Chord. Whatever they call it in her habit.
I thought her habit was E-Merl?
Timmi needs a pink hat…also FAIRIES!
Also I think the Peanut Medal should be made real – given to the author of the cutest comment about Timmi in each relevant thread. ;)
Or a Bitter Almond Medal.

When they collide it will truly be earth shaking!

Or just massive Damage Reduction
Frigg will soon learn what it’s like to use a blunt weapon on a armored gelatinous cube.
*BWOIIIINNNNNGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!*
I want a DM who will do this sound effect.
I just realized we haven’t yet seen Byron use his shoulder axes since he got them.
I think he used them in the Chess Fight. But then shoulder axes are a bit hard to utilize. Mostly just useful for barging into people.
He’s all the time using them for their only true purpose: looking badass.
And as bottle/keg openers
I just… love the general chaotic battlesetting of this strip! :D
*plays the Benny Hill Theme*
Clever girl …
