So… have we said that Clair and Hollister are cultists yet? Because they are totally cultists.

Death cultists striving for the extinction of all life are totally the coolest kids on the block these days. Clair and Hollister are so lucky to help! :D

The two helpful young elves permanently high on helpfulness? They’re something more than what they seem, that much is obvious. It’d be nice if the guildies spoiled their big villainous reveal with “Yeah, we kinda knew from the start.”

If that’s true then E-Merl’s bracelet could be bangletrapped.

I really like how the heroes are portrayed in this strip. Despite all that pomp and show, Byron and Syr’Nj know this probably won’t end well, but the effort has to be made – so they accept that fact and they part to do their separate jobs. All they can do is prepare for the worst, and they’re not really sure what to prepare for, but off they go anyway. That’s… pretty much heroism defined.

Unlike the heads of houses, cultists stab in the back AND the front, and sometimes from below.

…the Heads of Houses are the actual target!

Karishi’s comment made me think this too… they berserkify Syr, she wastes the heads of houses except for whatshisvillain who manages to escape and warn the populace against the peacekeeper menace.

I’m think E-Merl’s portal-making bracelet is the real target. If they get their hands on that, then they could wipe out the Sky Elves and their portal hub.

I feel bad that I’m only commenting on this occasion due to a spelling error, but “conveniently” in panel one got away from someone.

Byron is metagaming, adding the bit about the heads of houses because that can’t possibly be the last words exchanged between the two of them. The lurrrrve parts could have been, so nice job there.
