There's ghosts at your heels and fairy tale worlds ahead. What do you do? Jump down the rabbit hole!
Good, good confusion is a part of life as are vengeance, fear and love; all facets must be embraced for then and only then will you break through the wall of mystery to the Glow.
“But, like dandruff, most people do have a religion and spend time and money on it and seem to derive considerable pleasure from fiddling with it.” Robert A. Heinlein
And do you realize how *powerful* they’re getting to be? We’ve got an Archdruid with staff, a God-slaying, all-female Power Ranger set, and who knows what Best is now capable of… Not to mention Gravy, once he shows up.
I was just referring to the last panel. It’s like “Seriously, stop following me. You don’t have to follow me. Sometimes it’s okay to follow people, though. But be yourselves and find inner strength and shit. On the other hand, if you keep following me, I’ll show you how to BECOME ALL-POWERFUL!!!”
I get the sense that what she’s trying to do is not so much convince them not to be her apostles, per se, but that they should learn from each other as well as her. More of a collective, than a heirarchy.
“God is dead. I killed him.”
-Frigg/Nietzsche
Frietzsche.
See God, Kill God
“If you should meet God on the Road… kill Him.”
God – ain’t nobody got time for that.
A Kill 6 Billion Demons quote – me like
Friggrich Nietzsche
Frigg Is Dead, but she got better…
-God

One of them is gonna try to kill Frigg, calling it now. Jury’s out on whether or not they do so because Frigg tries to kill the whole pantheon.
Or THEY kill the whole pantheon, and take their place.
Or at the very least, break their backs and make them humble.
She’s taking the klingon approach to deities….kill’em.
They’re … more trouble than they are worth.
“But, like dandruff, most people do have a religion and spend time and money on it and seem to derive considerable pleasure from fiddling with it.” Robert A. Heinlein
If all our gods were memes, I’d kill them too.
I mean… they literally are…
Wait a minute.
First we got introspection from Best.
Now we’re seeing introspection from Frigg.
Who are you people and what have you done with the real Guilded Age creators?
It’s called character development.
The build-up before climax.
And do you realize how *powerful* they’re getting to be? We’ve got an Archdruid with staff, a God-slaying, all-female Power Ranger set, and who knows what Best is now capable of… Not to mention Gravy, once he shows up.
“I can show you how to kill a god.” One of the best lines so far.
a good line but the alttext is insanely hilarious.
“But if you stick around…I’ll show you how to kill a god.”
Fuck.
This entire speech is now my favorite quote ever.
An inspirational haiku by Frigg:
Fisting the wolf god
SMOOSH SMOOSH SMOOSH SMOOSH SMOOSH SMOOSH SMOOSH
Gaping wolf god ass
Kill ’em all and let the gods sort ’em out! …oh wait.
Sort out the gods: kill ’em all!
“First lesson: This fist goes EXACTLY where you think it’s goin!”
If you don’t want them to be your apostles, that’s the worst sales pitch ever.
I dunno, sounds like a reasonable philosophy.
Continual self-improvement will allow you to overcome any obstacle.

Eventually a people must kill their gods.
We are overdue.
