Also, for anyone thinking that Frigg’s automatically on top because gold beats silver, consider white gold and platinum look pretty identical to silver, but’re worth more.
I assume she’s going to come out on top because she’s Frigg the godkiller. One of the chief protagonist for this webcomic. And we’re closing in on the end of this comic.
But, protagonist don’t always win in the end. So there’s always a chance Ardaic will win.
Ardaic might do well until he sees Taro indiscriminately kill everyone in his path in that new mech of his. That could be the moment he realizes he’s on the wrong side.
I agree – my prediction is that Ardaic will hold his own, or even have the advantage over Frigg… right up until the point that “King Taro the Indiscriminate Destroyer” makes his big entrance.
At that point I can see it going one of two ways – either Ardaic’s belief in his country shatters, and his power with it… or he decides that his duty is to protect his country FROM TARO, and ends up side by side with Frigg (no doubt with some pithy comments on her part!)
I’m fully expecting that the Golden Girls (ha! … yes, I’m old, fuck off) are going to have combine forces to take out the Cunt-urion. Probably not in a Voltron way, just that alone Frigg won’t be enough, but together, through the power of Friendship and Teamwork they can be victorious!
Yeah, sounded corny as shit when I was typing it too.
HOWEVER, it is a trope in MMOs. Boss opponents need a party, if not a full on raid, to defeat. You only solo them if you are way over level and gear.
Of course, in a cut scene, the same boss will either take on the entire world alone – and then when you eventually get to fight him with your group you end up thinking “that was it?” Alternately they go down like a bitch in said cut scene, to something you and your group then step up and curb stomp. NPCs are as tough as the current story arc needs them to be.
The best RPGs make the boss battle just as bad-ass and tense as the cutscenes make it seem.
But they are rare indeed.
The one I just played had me feeling that way for the second to last boss, but afterwards I realized I had the characters all equipped with lowered resistance to her element. (In preparation for the last boss, who just got… Destroyed)
He. Now I want to see them “form Voltron”. The silliness of six people forming a humanoid figure together would be hilarious. And so awkward and unwieldy as to be completely useless in a fight – unless we’re using the power of belief to irrationally fuel it. “Belief in my friends trumps the laws of Physics!”
In this wonderful world do her friends simply wrap themselves around her forearms/shins with their heads facing out and then she does a series of show punches and kicks where the person on the limb she strikes out with “roars?”
Meep.
Meep stew!
Guess Frigg’s gonna need a cunt opener.
She’s already swinging hers around, big and rigid and glowing.
Your comment isn’t funny.
The face of your avatar MAKES it funny.
Serious battle commentary. XD
I probably shouldn’t be thinking of the “Burst open and mix!” dialogue from the Saiyan Saga.

Not to mention in the military silver denotes a higher rank than gold in officers

Okay, so he gets a magical holy grenade.
When does Frigg get one?
The Silver Centurion must’ve upped his game considering what power he’s wielding now when he couldn’t stop Bandit and her gang back when.
SC’s probably more of a direct brawler and doesn’t do well against subgnometerfuge.
Alt-text: Lit as in epic.
….. like, epics are literature?
….. okay, so I’m afraid of upstaging Frigg with my puns.
No, no. They updated the graphics engine in the latest expansion. It’s gonna be lit with a whole new meaning to “volumetric god rays.”
Sun flares! Sun flares EVERYWHERE!
So if he’s a Cunt-urion, does that make you the Pussy Destroyer?
Awwwww shiiiiiiit. It’s about to go DOWN.
“It’s gonna be lit”? Really? Congratulations on sounding just like my 17-year-old. :-p
That said, it looks like it may, indeed, be “lit.” :-)
They’re kind of the same, but one is yellow and one is blue. Hmm…
Fight!

Because that is the only way this could happen.
She’s killed a meme god. Now can she kill Faith in Gastonia.
Go, Frigg! Make sure Ardaic never lives to see Syr’nj again!
I may have a slightly different reaction to Ardaic than most people here.
No, I’m with you on that one… I’m a Lawful Good type myself, he’s waaaay too neutral for me.
