We’ve seen the Five in their tubes since, so I don’t think this is something that actually HAPPENED. Instead, this is Carol having a guilt-induced nightmare.
Which probably also explains why HR has been repeating his line about not being able to do any of it without her ad nauseum. His praise has become part of her damnation.
You know it was the weight of their dicks that ripped off their lower halves. The clothing was the only thing holding the sheer weight of their dangalangs from shredding them as we just saw.
In darkest times, it’s usually appreciated when someone can find the humerus side. I think Carol herself came the closest to it when she grabbed Gravey.
In other disturbing ads, today I saw skelletor pimping for geico…. I think a small part of my childhood died that moment. either that or the few remaining brain cells that I had aftervwatching that show.
She was drinking before she slipped into this dream: in vino veritas as HR really couldn’t have gotten this far without her cooperation (hiding the Five and the killing of Ferris, …).
Question is: how will this dream effect/affect (not sure which of them is correct) her reaction on the break-in by Shanna and Xan?
A couple of mnemonics I use to try to keep those two straight: When you _E_ffect a plan, you _E_xecute it and _E_nd up with some _E_ffects. When you _A_ffect something you _A_lter it.
Personally I’m hoping for her to find personal repentance by doing whatever she can to free the five and stop HR from here on out, then spend many many years in prison for her prior actions.
If she plays it right, she can probably blame all the bad stuff on HR. After all, it’s his creepy lab. If he were killing people down there she’d really have no way to know…
Called it. It reeked of a guilty conscience dream. That said, I wonder if it works as foreshadowing too? Perhaps getting the Five back won’t be so easy as unplugging them?
That’s been known for a while – HR and Carol TRIED to disconnect them, but it became pretty clear that doing so was risking killing them. Which is part of the reason why HR was trying to get them killed before he entered Arkerra himself – he was hoping that if he killed them in Arkerra, he could disconnect them without killing them in SepiaWorld.
Ah, a little problems with the old conscience there Carol?
I was wondering about the constant “I couldn’t have done this without you” in the last page. Now it makes sense.
hmmmm….this makes me wonder if the five arent, perhaps, already dead? suspended in the bacta tanks? HR said they would be breathing liquid, but it makes me wonder, how have their bodies fed? nutrients in the tanks? how often are they maintained? or have they been maintained at all? perhaps there was a malfunction and this is the whole point of it all, why they were covered up? the volunteers died, but created something entirely unexpected? (and yes, im just using the term Bacta tank here loosely) or did they go all ‘lawnmower man’ as their bodies deteriorate, but their minds go off the charts?
I know a nightmare when I see one. I’d bet half a dozen yeti hairs the next page is Carol Waking up in a cold sweat. But unfortunately I’m out of stock due to so many men with guns wanting yeti fur coats, so bigfoot hairs will have to do.
Those third and fifth panels reaaaally do this scene for me. It’s squishy, gorey, and the melt affect is executed so well by having Carol ripping off the arm on accident trying to stop Gravedust. That part I don’t think I’ve ever seen done before, and sells the horror.
That moment you’re glad it’s Sepia world and not one where you can distinguish red properly.
Seconded. Yuck.
No guts no glory I guess.
How disarming.
Only a true fan can lose himself like that.
Whelp, its no skin off my back.
Carol’s the one who made all this possible, but Gravy’s the one giving a hand to her.
Looks like he’s actually becoming gravy, too
Don’t be such a debbie downer, carol. Looks like somebody’s got a case of the Mondays!
I think she might be having some regrets…
I think you might be right there.
We’ve seen the Five in their tubes since, so I don’t think this is something that actually HAPPENED. Instead, this is Carol having a guilt-induced nightmare.

At least there wasn’t a T-888 under all that skin.
More like a t-bone, dude’s pretty fat.
Traitor :-)
It sure is lucky that Best and Byron’s lower halves dissolved into a puddle of hideous goo and melting flesh before the second panel.
Otherwise we might have seen a penis. :P
You know it was the weight of their dicks that ripped off their lower halves. The clothing was the only thing holding the sheer weight of their dangalangs from shredding them as we just saw.
F ;_;7
Worst case of crotch rot ever.
As it is all we got is a mere boner.
From Carol’s point of view there were a lot of awkward boners.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Of course this would be the one comic I open just before I start slurping down some noodles. XP
You do have the Best avatar for commenting on this.
So, do you think you have more need of Brain Bleach™ or Pepto Bysmol™?
“All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand”
“Out damned spot – Out I say”, I got strong MacBeth vibe.
“O that this too too solid flesh would melt,
Thaw, and resolve itself into a dew!”
Hamlet right back at ya ;)
Frigg having a conversation with herself?!?! :D
Different parts of Frigg’s persona duking it out?
Hurricane Software CEO discovers amazing weight loss program!
Missing persons investigators hate him!
Who said you can’t lose weight while playing games?
He’s Skelly and she Moldering welcome to the Sepia Zone.
Nice Halloween run up.
I just realized this is really Gravy but you’re supposed to take the bones out when you make that.
also for some strange reason when I post from mobile I hit the button once and it always says that I did a duplicate post, not sure why.
“… Watch the pounds just melt away …”
Gravedust has used “Atkins Diet” ….. It’s sup-TOO EFFECTIVE HOLY COW!!1
It’s Souper Effective
Someone needs to lighten the mood with a boner joke.

Alt Text: Moisturizer ads are getting really fucked up.
I believe Countess Elizabeth Bathory would disagree with you…
“NYAHAHA! I couldn’t have done it without you, He-Man!”
That would have made a GREAT alt-text! :D
In other disturbing ads, today I saw skelletor pimping for geico…. I think a small part of my childhood died that moment. either that or the few remaining brain cells that I had aftervwatching that show.

Anyone else have this song go through on the last panel or was it just me? lol
at first i was like https://i.imgur.com/gqeFSoX.gifv
but then i was all https://i.imgur.com/2yXBZdP.gif
Carol- “Okay, I found this humerus.”
Thats not funny
You’re right, that would be the ulna.
Ulna in her left hand, humerus in her right hand.
Yep, she found the ulna(mate) humerus side of the situation.
definitely not the character’s past :
Here, the order (from left to right) is :
Gravedust, Frigg, Syr’Nj, Byron, Payet
Before, it was :
Byron, Syr’Nj, Gravedust, Frigg, Payet
I would think that the fact EVERYBODY IS A SKELETON would be better evidence that this isn’t real.
Kudos to the artists on the melty flesh skeletons.
Definitely. I feel that the artistry of the comic, not to mention the story, makes this one of the better ones out there.
I came, I read, I concurred.

Not exactly the thing you want to see at seven in the morning when you’ve just woken up.

Gravedust will cover you
Cover you

Ooh did Carol grow a conscience?
Look at the smile on gravedust’s face, he knows he’s about to get his dick sucked, she looks thirsty.
Mm. That fupa tho.
I know a nightmare when I see one. I’d bet half a dozen yeti hairs the next page is Carol Waking up in a cold sweat. But unfortunately I’m out of stock due to so many men with guns wanting yeti fur coats, so bigfoot hairs will have to do.
Looks like gravy plays a squishie class.
Nothing like being stuck in a dream of the real world.
Well one of the first times I’m checking out this comic, and I see this… I don’t know what to say.
Dude, is Carol on Drugs?
Alcohol (last seen drinking upstairs right before the break-in by the gamers).
Despite all the “other stuff” i like to focus on the positives, like two days of Frigg booty.
