I appreciate that Phil pushed as hard as he did for the range of reactions to Byron’s berserking, with the two people he killed having a much harder time getting past it than the others. This aggression therapy, on this page and the next, is the closest Frigg will get to exorcising her own feelings about it, though she’ll still have a little unresolved tension with him until much much later, when she briefly becomes a berserker herself and finally fully understands what that means.

This isn’t about inflicting as much damage as possible quickly, or Frigg would be using nothing but mace.
