Phil and I talked about whether we should reprise the storm of “Kill” captions that we saw in Chapter 7, but I think the single caption here fits the situation better. In Chapter 7 Byron was still Byron, albeit lost in a storm; here he is now someone else. There is no need for a second “Kill” because there is nothing to oppose it. All he is is Kill.
I appreciate that Frigg and Gravedust get ready between panels 3 and 4, just in case Byron somehow Hulks apart those chains at the wrong moment. They know how this shit goes, often enough.
Syr’Nj facing the Berserker with cold familiarity is Phil’s very deliberate callback to HR facing “Byron” with a similar attitude. Sometimes I regret that we didn’t work in more bits of nifty parallelism between the worlds; other times I think it would’ve gotten too cutesy if we’d tried and maybe damaged Arkerra’s sense of reality. But I like this one.

The sad thing about seeing Guts up there is that only THEN did I remember Orson from Record of Lodoss War. At some point I forgot my personal berserker lore. =/
