A lovely, quiet moment. I gotta remember to do more “open vs. closed” layouts like this one.

Some readers assumed that Gravedust touching his arrowhead to Byron like this meant that he was doing what he has normally done, binding Byron’s spirit to his arrow and preparing to fire the arrow in a way that would set Byron’s spirit at rest. It’s hard for me to imagine what such action would set Byron’s spirit at rest, though: his troubles need addressing in another way.

(But if we’d addressed those problems and still done the “spirit tied to Gravedust’s arrow” thing, then I suppose Byron would’ve enchanted Gravedust’s arrow until he took the final shot against HR. Would’ve died a hero, I guess!)
