the more i keep reading this comic, the slow realization is dawning on me this is shifting over from a World of Warcraft-like world to a more Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War (one or two) like world. it’s like Rachel is using a power fist and Frigg is using a power hammer some “METAL BOXES” into scrap.

well there are flying ships, pscyhic powers could be seen as magic, deamons can pop up at any time, Dedalus is probably covering for the emperor, and the horde covers the evil aliens. it’s not close, but it’s getting there.

Take ALL the dual-wielding feats. Buy yourself two vorpal rapiers. Make them keen. Take “power critical: rapier” and “improved critical: rapier”. Enjoy eight attacks, critically on a 9, and instant killing on a critical hit. Even if the tanks have a fairly spectacular hardness, it is rendered irrelevant by vorpal, because damage is not needed, only the critical.

Alternatively, because two rapiers would be silly, take two scimitars. Still criticals on a 9.

Not anymore? It used to! Either way, you still end up with a 15+ crit with eight attacks. More with some kind of multi-attack feat. Statistically, you’re gonna win.

It did during 3.0, until the designers realized how insane that was. Of course, that was by the time they released a prestige class that further expanded the crit range of weapons, so that with the proper weapon choice you could crit on a roll of 5 or more. So during the reboot to 3.5, they dropped it. Hard.
