New Comics Every Weekday - Written by T Campbell & Phil Kahn - Illustrated by John & Jason Waltrip
well i guess byron’s gonna have to do a little grinding on her faction, if you know what i mean.
Is that what the kids call sleeping on the couch these days?
That’s what the kids are calling “earning brownie points” or “sucking up to.”
Situations like these are a good chance to take stock of your life.
Never know what it might throw at you…
Byron had best hope Syr will take a chill pillory’s going to have a hard time of things.
I’m really taking a shiner to Bragg’ since I found him and Byron were buddies.
They’re really racking up the philosophy in this one.
The route to enlightenment can be tortuous.
I’m confused, why’d they get thrown in the stocks?
They started a rather large and violent bar fight.
Oh, gah, I missed a comic. That was kind of relevant. >.<
Five days a week!
Eight days a week?
Not enough to show Phil cares.
He seems so cheery ever since Sy’rnj hooked him up with the medicine. At first I thought it was a side-effect but I think I just never understood exactly how much of a weight the berzerking was on his mind. I think this is just who Byron is when he doesn’t have that to worry about.
Shame on you Mr. Waltrip! Cutting corners with stock footage…
You know this really makes me wonder what Braggadacio wore as an adventurer. All we have seen him in is the army uniform.
I’m thinking of that big guy in the Red Sonja movie
Makes me think of the old Terrence Hill/Bud Spencer spaghetti westerns (Terrence Hill as Byron and Bud Spencer as Bragg)
YES! YES! I loved those movies back when i was a kid. Those two would fit the bill perfectly.
And now i just know Braggadocio has a heart bigger then a Cannon.
Given the sheer yardage and target size, I imagine he was pretty attentive to his wardrobe back in those days out of sheer attrition. Nowadays, of course, he gets his uniforms stock, which is a real savings on darns.
I’m pretty sure that’s the greatest high-five in webcomics history.
Alas, the dreaded “partner” aggro. Killer of raids, destroyer of groups.
There is no Aggro reset! If you Aggro, that’s a minus 50 DKP.
That’s why I prefer the discipline of the military over any, ANY group of adventurers.
Byron, with his anti-state, anti-military attitude, is becoming more and more irritating.
What kind of change is he advocating ? The ability to start a fight in a bar, on a whim, and get away with it just because he bangs the wood-elf lady ? Field Marshal Ardaic should send him to the briggs for one month, only letting him out for missions.
Considering Byron was irritated that they let him out of the stocks early, I would say he isn’t against punishment for his deeds. If anything, he’s advocating a punishment to fit the crime (assuming the bar isn’t that badly damaged)
Oh, the bar must be kind of OK. It’s the other customers I’d worry about. ^^
Hmm … kinda over-reacting, Grumbly, aren’t we ?
Who let the NPCs start posting in here?
Bah humbug. You have to have fun sometimes.
Who has the right to drink in seedy taverns, start amazing bar fights, and end up in jail? And who has the right, as former party leader, to argue with his big fat friend? The Byrooon, the Byron! Tradition!
I do hope Brag is going to stick around as a stock villain.
No! I hope he becomes part of the adventuring group!
Oh. Sorry ahdok, missed the joke. I feel dumb.
What do you call this conversation? Pillory talk? Stock exchange?
Stock Exchange!! You’re really showing us how it’s pun.
Wasn’t sure of him at first, but I’m hoping Bragg sticks around, he’s growing on me.
Oh, I would say he’s not going anywhere for a while.
Hehe, I was wondering if they were going to catch hell for initiating that little brawl at the tavern. I’m astounded they managed to get Braggadocio into the stocks without the aid of a carpenter or two to throw together an epic-size stock for him. ;)
They did need carpenters… the first time. Now all the taverns around have stocks special made for bragg
One of the best alt-texts I’ve seen so far, haha!
Can that second panel be a wallpaper? Because it makes me laugh every time I scroll past it. :D
Er, ah, THIRD panel. I can count… sure… >_>;;
Brag is going to have trouble walking for a month. Big guy like that leaned over in that stock would have back problems like you wouldn’t believe.
Not if he puts his weight on the stocks and legs, thus no stress/strain on his back
Several hours in the pillory.
A rocket from your CO.
Followed by a thorough raking over the coals by your GF, who also happens to be your CO.
Then heading out to deal with whatever needs dealing with.
I pity the dealee on the other end of Byron’s dealing today…
No hangover. Byron can’t drink alcohol. But otherwise, yep.
We already know what comes next in this day…
Byron seems a little overenthusiastic. I’m thinking this might be a midlife crisis sort of thing for him. I’M NOT SETTLING DOWN! NO, NOT ME! ADVENTURER HERE, WITH ADVENTURER GIRLFRIEND, NOT DOMESTICATED AT ALL
Surprised Syr isn’t dragging him by the ear.
Also: this town has cops that can subdue those two? That’s scary!
Also: Bandit is doing an amazing impression of a responsible adult.
She’s just good at acting like one. ^^
