He seems so cheery ever since Sy’rnj hooked him up with the medicine. At first I thought it was a side-effect but I think I just never understood exactly how much of a weight the berzerking was on his mind. I think this is just who Byron is when he doesn’t have that to worry about.

Given the sheer yardage and target size, I imagine he was pretty attentive to his wardrobe back in those days out of sheer attrition. Nowadays, of course, he gets his uniforms stock, which is a real savings on darns.

That’s why I prefer the discipline of the military over any, ANY group of adventurers.
Byron, with his anti-state, anti-military attitude, is becoming more and more irritating.
What kind of change is he advocating ? The ability to start a fight in a bar, on a whim, and get away with it just because he bangs the wood-elf lady ? Field Marshal Ardaic should send him to the briggs for one month, only letting him out for missions.

Considering Byron was irritated that they let him out of the stocks early, I would say he isn’t against punishment for his deeds. If anything, he’s advocating a punishment to fit the crime (assuming the bar isn’t that badly damaged)

Meh. If there is one thing that is bothering me about this set-up, it is that they aren’t really adventurers at all any more. They’ve just been pawns of the state for most of the comic so far, and it has screwed them over more often than not. This is just one more example…
All this pro-state, pro-military attitude is becoming more and more irritating.

You really think he’s getting away with it? I think he’d much prefer the public humiliation that he earned, over whatever Ardaic, Syr’Nj, and Bandit have planned for him. They just can’t let him be punished in public, because it would make them and the Peacekeepers look bad.

Hehe, I was wondering if they were going to catch hell for initiating that little brawl at the tavern. I’m astounded they managed to get Braggadocio into the stocks without the aid of a carpenter or two to throw together an epic-size stock for him. ;)

As a morbidly obese person, I can confirm that there will be pain.

My first thought when I saw him in the stocks was that my neck would snap when my legs buckled after 10 minutes.
